Who do you think would have won this fight if both were at they're prime. I say Tyson. It would have been a great fight though.

With all that target to aim at I would say a prime Tyson.

If Tyson could not beat Holyfield no way was he going to beat a Prime Bowe. I do not see how Tyson wins.

Tough one to call. I think Bowe overcomes some desperate moments and wins by ko in the ninth.

    Bowe TKO8

Would probably look a lot like Tyson/Douglas with Bowe keeping Tyson at distance with stiff jabs and straight rights, and when Tyson does get inside, Bowe still getting the better of him more often than not due his superior strength and effective uppercuts and short left hooks. Bowe may take a couple big shots but he had great heart and could fight through it.

Would have been a great fight but Will go with Tyson son though. For a very brief period Bowe did look exceptional though.

  11. Bowe would have won, he wouldn't have been scared of Tyson, and Tyson didn't deal well with tall fighters that wern't scared of him, it would have been Buster Douglas part 2, Bowe would have knocked him on his ass..

This was a great fight we all missed out on - and it would have been a war that's for sure. I'm going with Bowe on this one (not a popular choice given his defense) as I think his jab would play a major role in determining the outcome. Bowe was great on the inside for such a big man and his uppercut would have caused Tyson problems. Bowe had a fair dig and I see him beating Tyson.

It would have definately been contender for fight of the year if it was ever made. Both guys would go to war on the inside. Bowe for all his vaunted height, reach and good jab, often allowed his opponents to in close where is also liked fight.

Prime for prime I'd favour Tyson. Too fast, great combinations and even prime Bowe was an easy target, which is a huge disadvantage against a fighter as fast, accurate and powerful as prime tyson. It would not be easy for Tyson though. Bowe does have that uppercut which would definately test Iron Mikes jaw, as well as great size and strength though he wouldn't use it effectively against Tyson as he rarely tied fighters up when he needed to. Tyson KO in about 7-8 rounds.

If they fought in the 90's during Tyson's comeback, I'd still favour Tyson. Tyson was technically an inferior fighter at this point. He still had great speed and power but his superb defence and combinations were no longer present. But Bowe was also past his best, as after becoming champion we never saw a fighter that resembled the fighter who beat Holyfield. This Bowe was too slow and flat footed to keep Tyson off him and would get lose either by UD or a late TKO.

While I think Bowe has all the tools to beat Tyson, I question his mentality in this fight.

I don't mean he'll be scared of Tyson or anything like that, but I think Bowe will be looking to out-brawl Tyson, to do the macho thing and try to knock him out. Rather than working from the outside before pushing on in the second half of the fight, I think Bowe will be looking to go in swinging.

And despite Bowe's skills, I would worry about his porous defence.
Whoever can get to the other enough would win, and I just favour Tyson's heavier firepower to get him the victory...probably by stoppage around 7-9.
