:deal I tried to get out earlier, but his posts became more preposterous. Anyway he's only been here two minutes and already he as the tag of troll...and of course your right, there is no reasoning. Another thread he started yesterday - Pacman v Hagler. Hopefully he'll learn.
you're more biased than me... refusing to recognize basic facts and getting more and more upset as i disprove what you say... pacman vs hagler.... that was based on many saying pacman is amongst the greatest of all time ... and him beating SRL so if SRL > Hagler and for some Pac > SRL what would PAC do against Hagler...
Bowe was only prime until the Golota fight? Convenient Here are some areas Wlad is superior to Bowe -Power -Jab -Movement -Handspeed -Experience -Consistency -Height -Ring generalship I don't know about heart. Bowe might start looking for a way out acting as if he's been fouled when he eats too many straight rights. Also infighting may well be irrelevant. How often does Wlad let opponents fight on the inside. Also how often does he get hit to the body?
Bowe wasn't the bigger man, fatter man yes but at their best weights Bowe weighted 235lbs while Lewis weighed around 245lbs. Both were 6 feet 5 and Lewis had the bigger reach. So if anything Lewis was the bigger man. Lewis doesn't do well against big men? Tony Tucker 6"5 UD Henry Akinwande 6"7 DQ5 Andrew Golota 6"4 KO1 Shannon Briggs 6"4 TKO5 Michael Grant 6"7 KO2 Vitali Klitschko 6"7 TKO6 Lewis only struggled with Vitali, the rest of these guys he dominated. Bowe beating an amateur hype job like Gonzalez is nowhere near as impressive as Lewis' record against big men in the pros. Gonzalez's only claim to fame was beating a younger Bowe and Lewis on points as an amateur and winning a couple of Pan american games titles, not even world or Olympic titles. Hell even Audley Harrison was able to pick up an Olympic title. Gonzalez beat nobody of note before facing Bowe and lost 4 of his next 6 fights against the likes of Ross Puritty, Paea Wolfgramm and future Lewis victim Michael Grant. Bowe beating a big man like Gonzalez who was totally unproven at that point as a pro is about as impressive as beating other big men like Tye Fields or Julius Long.
I'm barely paying attention to this thread, but I read this one statement and just had to comment on it. I watched both Bowe/Golota fights over the past week and that was not a prime Bowe. If you watched him in the second fight, it was apparent from the first round that he was past prime and close to shot. Even Golota's corner was yelling at him, telling him that Bowe was shot. His reflexes weren't there, his speed had slowed, his jab didn't even have the same snap it had from the fight right before it. He came into the rematch more prepared I believe, but physically he wasn't the same fighter from in his prime. Compare for a second. Immediately, you'll notice his legs have more bounce in his prime and his timing was better with a snappier jab [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6EzAyf_Vq4&feature=channel_video_title[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r70Ap4Q9H5Q[/ame]
Prime Bowe stops prime wlad in nine. Bowe vs Lewis 50/50. Ill say Bowe stops Lewis in 11. Who has wlad faced that was truly hungry and comparable to a great contender? Sanders? Wlad got destroyed. Peter? Ok good win for Wlad. However he never faced any one on Bowes level. No way wlad is gonna keep bowe at bay with his jab and then ko him. Yes Bowe had a great jab could find a way inside, and imo would catch wlad in an exchange and then finish the job winning by ko. Lewis vs Bowe I would expect a war. Bowes chin being the difference. I admire both klitschkos but they never faced a great prime fighters. And by the way a past prime Lewis opened vitali up and stopped him, and vitali was holding on for dear life before that.
Bowe beat holyfield by decision... and a KO .. while due to fan interference lost one... Lennox was 1 win and 1 draw vs holyfield also check this out... "As I mentioned, Bowe’s prime was short but from 1991-1995, Big Daddy was one of the best heavyweights of his era. I also believe that if Bowe would have fought Lewis in 1993 as planned, he would have knocked Lewis out within 8 rounds. Lewis was not quite a finished product at that point and Bowe was more skilled, and he proved that he can take it as well as dish it out." http://www.boxingiq.com/riddick-bowe-is-“big-daddy”-bound-for-glory-by-ronald-cameron
