Alright, so how does this one go...? Big daddy vs Big bang (sounds pretty sus lol). 12 rounds. 16x16 ft ring 8 oz gloves. Ref is drunk and half asleep, so he won't bother enforcing that many rules other than low blows and stopping for the bell. I want to see carnage.
Zhang will have some success due to Bowe's poor defense but I just can't see him sustaining that for more than 5 rounds without gassing out. Bowe would start taking over the rest of the fight before stopping him late. Now if it's the fat lazy version of Bowe that stopped giving a damn then Zhang has a decent shot.
If Bowe has Futch in his corner and makes the smart decision not to brawl, he should come out fine. At the same time, a prime Big Daddy was prone to simply standing in front of his opponent and trying to slug it out like a couple of kids on the street, and if that happens, we're gonna see a few knockdowns, and possibly a decision in Zhang's favor. And if it's the Bowe that went up against Golota, then Zhang has it comfortably.
Bowe is fighting against a bigger man with a big punch Bowe didn't fight any of the notable punchers of the 90s and had a poor defense. This would be a dangerous fight for Bowe in the first 6 rounds, and he possibly gets dropped or rocked a few times early on. But Bowe's superior workrate and conditioning would be the difference and Bowe would take over in the 2nd half of fight and win a decision. Bowe for a big man had very good workrate he threw over 700+ punches in both fights vs Holyfield. For comparison Zhang only managed 395 punches thrown vs Hrgovic and 273 punches thrown vs Parker. Which shows you Bowe is capable of doubling Zhang's output and that would be the difference in the 2nd half of the fight.
Everything is well specified except which Bowe. Bowe (Holyfield 1 fight) would outpoint Zhang with a wise chess game. Bowe (Golota Fights) would be brutally knocked out (let's see that too).
The two big punchers that Bowe faced were Hide and Golota (Both being in the list of the top ten of the decade in that regard), and it shows. He used to have gym wars with Mercer, so that probably put a hamper on his durability on top of his already weak defense.
Bowe avoided punchers for a reason. His chin was not that great. That said: he had a lot of heart and his stamina was OK. If he makes it past the first four rounds, Zhang will do his usual thing and gas horribly, and Bowe could take over from there. That said, I'm not sure Bowe does make it past the first few rounds. Bowe was kinda hittable and that's a bad thing to be agaiinst Zhang.
