could be decent.....interesting clash of styles- classic puncher vs boxer match up. winner gets top 30 recognition
Tupou is immensely strong and likes to hurl bombs at his opponents from the opening bell. Very likeable guy who also happened to play League in Australia for a spell. Scott is a boxer-puncher who prefers to work behind an active jab and counter punch. He's got a very deep amateur background and sparred a lot with Lennox Lewis in the late 90's. I'm honestly rooting for Tupou as I have been addicted to League for many years and I can honestly say that it is the most physical sport on the planet. With that said, I am as objective as they come when I have to make a prediction...Tupou is a powerful young man with a good story who will also be fighting in his backyard but I believe that Scott is just a level or two better in every category except power, of course. I just can't see a scenario where Tupou can win against someone with the Malik Scott's defensive acumen and ability to control distance. Scott UD all day.
I hope you aren't referring to me simply because I'm the only guy on the site who's familiar with him LOL.
I think my breakdown above is pretty accurate...Scott's got a broad skill set but his record is very padded and Bowie is very aggressive with good power but he has a HORRIBLE loss on his record that set him back quite a bit. Solid undercard battle between two guys hungry for the spotlight...
Bowie Tupou is originally from Tonga but was based in Sydney. He has a very solid build. He went inactive after his loss to Demetrice King. Played briefly in the NRL for Penrith I think.
Never seen Topou fight, and had actually never heard of him before this bout came to pass. probably first top100 opponent for both guys.
As professionals, yes you're probably right... ...oops, forgot about Shufford. He was supposed to be a big deal at one point.
