Too right he does. Supporting the #1 HW prospect around right now doesn't make me a troll. I'm bringing him to the public's attention. That ain't trollling.

Thank you. It's good to see some honest, unbiased analysis on this forum. I agree, Scott is too skilled and refined for Tupou, who is a big puncher but offers little else.

May I ask for your opinion on how far Malik Scott will go? Do you think he will reach world title level?

That's a little harsh on Tupou, who has good wins over Quezada and Donnell Holmes.

Don't forget Malik's wins over Releford as well.

    Thanks for the comments SOG

Regardless of who people support either way ... I think this is a good fight to be happening and a meaningful win for who-ever comes out on top. One worth watching IMO.

The fight will not be televised. Should be early in the night. I think tupou will put him down early.

Unlikely. Scott is used to sparring with hard hitters, like Audley Harrison, Lateef Kayode and Joe Hanks, so the power of Tupou should come as no surprise.

I hope your joking when you say hard hitters like Audley.

I am not. Audley's left hook is absolutely murderous.
Have you seen his KO of Sprott? That was one of the most picture perfect, beautifully timed left hooks I've ever seen.

Audley's chin is atrocious but I've never heard anyone say he can't hit.

Hey Zx, do you know Scott or something? I mean it seems kind of random for someone who doesn't to just run out and become a gigantic mega-hardcore superfan all of a sudden.

You don't have to know someone personally to respect his skill level. Malik Scott was a VERY good amateur and he possesses skills that you don't often see in a division loaded with guys who maul each other and gass out after 3 rounds.
He has the talent and the mental makeup to , at the very least, win a minor title and be recognized as the best American Heavyweight.

It's not like his power isn't non existent, the way I saw Audley was always this fighter who never seemed to use the tools he had properly, never utilized his height as much to the degree he should have most times, but the earlier poster using Sprott as an example... well a lot of people can look better beating up on someone like him with 18 loses.

It's like Zx printed the boxrec rankings for heavyweight, threw a dart in the general direction of the eighties, and decided to become a rabid fanboy of whatever fighter it landed on. He was a quarter inch away from becoming a Tye Fields fanatic.

Tye Fields has retired anyway, but I'll justify my support of Scott below.

    Is Tye Fields 34-0?
Does Tye Fields have a constantly updated gallery of amusing photographs?
Does Tye Fields have the skills so lacking in modern heavyweights?
Does Tye Fields have Jesse Reid as his trainer?
Could Tye Fields ever be described as "G"?

And there you have it, the reasons I support Malik Scott's quest for glory. :deal

Besides, there's no fun in supporting the higher ranked HWs. Expect to see some Leif Larsen related material from me soon. Man, that guy makes Tyson look feather-fisted.
