Why? It just seems to be diluting the mix. We probably won't get any more live action but it will be spread over more channels. More channels = more cash to lash out.
They do have the online streaming mate, it's mentioned in BN :good "They will also be streaming content online via their website, with subscribers paying a nominal additional fee to pick up the feed"
If this is pretty much the equivalent of Setanta then i'm happy to pay my £10pm. Bunce's Boxing Hour is worth a pint a week on it's own - much better than the shite Ringside has been producing lately. I'd rather pay £10pm for a few cards per month rather than £15 for a one-off Khan fight against McCloskey/Judah/Peterson/etc.
Terry Dooley has loads more info on the scene...http://www.***********.com/boxnation-full-details-******-part-uk-blockbuster--44071 They'll show the World Amateur Champs, Paul Dempsey is also on board! Simpson/Selby is on the channel! Burns/Katsidis, Norton defending British title on the same night as Huck's next fight, Frankie Gavin fighting some South American on October 28th (at least he's keeping busy!)
Not for me. Sky Sports and ESPN is enough. Prem sports as well but if they never showed the NRL I wouldnt bother either.
They have to hoover up all the fights they can and il get it Don kings Cards, Goosen cards, whatever top rank cards, the canadian cards dont think theyl get golden boy because of primetime
The £10 per month thing should be fine as long as we don't start getting asked to stump up extra for big cards. Bunce's Boxing hour would be awesome. Really hope this is going to be decent!!!
Guys, if this wasn't being promoted by Frank W, would you all not be a little more positive? Lots of people have been requesting a dedicated boxing channel since Setanta's demise, surely you realised you would have to pay for that? Also...can't understand why the Press Conference isn't live on BoxNation TV Channel? The stream on Frank's website isn't picking up for me.
Hopefully you can subscribe online only - I like hooking my laptop up with the HDMI port. Good news either way.
It would be good news if they show small hall promotions from around the country to fill up a bit air time,
