I can see them pairing it with a Prizefighter plus one big fight- maybe a decent domestic fight.

Theres been several articles on the BBC Sport homepage about the potential fight and plenty of mainstream newspaper inches already. How many other fights including or not including a British fighter get that? Not many. Only the mega ones I'd say and it will only increase on the way to fight night.

This fight would do massive numbers imo, its a fight sports fans - regardless if they're "boxing fans" - would stay up for. Its a once in a lifetime fight.

It will definitely be on Box Office with a potential British undercard as well. Imagine how much coverage this fight will get in the media during fight week!

Might as well cash in £20 on SBO.

The investor in BoxNation isthat Rsinham Steel guy who is one of the richest men in Britain. Could go either way but I reckon it gets more hype if it's on Sky.

I'd imagine Sky. Pac and Mayweather's last couple of fights have been on Boxnation, but this is potentially the biggest fight in a very very long time. Be interesting to see either wat

That's IF the fight happens of course. I'm still very skeptical

It depends if they want to stick it on box office - if yes then yeah they can blow BN out of the water...if they would only stick it on SP1 I reckon Ives would be able to top their bid especially as it would have long term benefits for BN.

I'm not convinced that Sky despite the farce PPV the other night are willing to stick just anything on PPV..especially as Froch if he fights in March will be PPV then possibly Khan- Brook in summer....I suppose it really comes down to what fights get made really.

Can see Sky putting this on a regular sports channel - this is one of the few fights that people will plan their weekend around so if they had a £25 ppv with degale v groves or something similar followed by mayweather pacquiao that'd get good PPV numbers

Rumours are they are planning something similar for brooks next fight with Chavez froch included in it, if that goes well then so would this

Btw how could this fight have long term benefits for BN, short term yes but not convinced long term as to cover the rights they'd need to get subscribers to near haye chisora levels

Long term benefits In terms of mainstream publicity as it will Be marketed As this generations biggest ever fight etc plus whilst it's not an exact science there will be casuals who purchase BN just for the fight (most ppl will go for the £12 sub rather then the £30 one off charge) with the intention of canceling ASAP but some will forget/not get round to it or maybe be happy with BN so they keep it especially if say a Wlad-Fury or some over big fights are coming up.....I know there's a lot of IFs there but FW is all about taking a punt

This fight will do well everywhere, i guess people will buy it the next day. Even though its the 2 best fighters in the world, they are relitavely unknown in the UK. Nowhere near as big as people on forums think. Plus its at 5am!!

I love boxing but i have 2 kids and can barely stay awake past 11pm (rock and roll i know!!). I will probably watch it in the morning too, after peppa pig of course!!

The rights would cost more than double anything shown on Boxnation previously- it would be a show of intent by the channel to secure this fight.

Problem is they don't have the connections to push this ie something like sky sports news, print media isn't that interested in boxing full stop so it's a massive gamble for them if Sky/bt join the auction
