Lezzi walks out to "I Want To Break Free" by Queen.

Damn. I want a CD of this card's soundtrack. :b1:

    Fiordigiglio also gets WWE-style pyro.

Both have black trunks. Fiordigiglio has white trim, and blue gloves while Lezzi has green lettering and red gloves. (and hair a shade lighter, and slightly longer)

    Round 1

Fiordigiglio thrusts a hard jab into the belt line, forcing Lezzi to scramble. Lezzi very tentative, giving Fiordigiglio a lot of respect considering he went six with him last time without even going down. A few reach-in jabs pointed down into the face of Fiordigiglio while up on tippy-toes, but Lezzi mostly just dipping to either side while shuffling the ball of either foot across the canvas and scissoring his legs to get clear of Fiordigiglio's occasional rumbling combos of body hooks and stiff up-jabs.

    10-9 Fiordigiglio

    Round 2

Fiordigiglio keeping the pressure on, but having a hard time landing except when Lezzi misgauges his turns and traps himself again st the ropes. The jab of Fiordigiglio scoring well even at distance, however, and he continues to march forward and snap Lezzi's head back with it. Lezzi magnetized to each set of ropes, with a rocking-chair stride, using the large ring to his advantage to not let Fiordigiglio ever pick up steam, but never able to rest for long. A few attempts to whip sneaky left hooks into the body are Lezzi's primary counter-offense but they don't slow Fiordigiglio.

    10-9 Fiordigiglio

    20-18 Fiordigiglio

    Round 3

Fiordigiglio has Lezzi fully in retreat mode now, with not even any overtures offered of countering or standing his ground. Big uppercuts behind the jab from Fiordigiglio, knocking Lezzi off balance bent backward at the waist. Lezzi basically just running desperately, and shelling up in nervous anticipation of Fiordigiglio's frequent switches from head to body attacks. His saving grace is that Fiordigiglio's feet aren't particularly fast, and when in range his hands aren't either. But he's finding the mark plenty anyway.

    10-9 Fiordigiglio

    39-27 Fiordigiglio

Fiordigiglio has only scored one stoppage in the last half-decade, but is hell-bent on getting in at least one more here before he packs it all in.

Lezzi got some licks in as Fiordigiglio ran him down and forced him to fight, but even a full-blast can-opener right thudding into the side of the head didn't phase the local hero. Slow and steady is winning this race, only question is whether he can make his opponent peel out, crash 'n' burn prior to reaching the finish line. 40-36

    Round 5

Fiordigiglio goes after Lezzi from the bell, and is clinched and spun away. Several interruptions to fix tape on both men's gloves ensue over the next couple of minutes. Time in, quick glove touch. Fiordigiglio then resumes smashing Lezzi's face with the ram-rod jab and causing his neck to whiplash even as he cyclones his legs to escape. Wild counter sea-floor-dragging hookish uppercuts by Lezzi, never reaching Fiordigiglio's sides or just grazing them if they do as Lezzi's backward momentum robs them of any remaining starch he's able to put on them.

    10-9 Fiordigiglio

    50-45 Fiordigiglio

    Round 6

Fiordigiglio has the nose of Lezzi reddened from the jab, and keeps punishing him with it. Lezzi baring his gum-shield, mouth-breathing from all the body shots Fiordigiglio is scoring. Fiordigiglio not coming forward as intently now as before, though - and Lezzi takes advantage by lobbing up some teardrop rights from a safe distance that precipitate down on the forehead of Fiordigiglio. Lezzi getting cheeky and slapping the body as he flees down the stretch from a fatigued Fiordigiglio.

    10-9 Fiordigiglio

60-54 Fiordigiglio, this shouldn't be close - and we definitely shouldn't have to run this back and see a part III now.

Kinda was hoping that Fiordigiglio would retire on this note. Lotta tread on the odometer; he is an old 36.

Wow, this was exactly one year and one day after the KO2 loss to Sam Eggington. Kind of does seem like he just returned to ride off into the sunset with a W, then.
