Morales is a good prospect. Good to have on my fantasy team. Guy needs to give up that part-time and do boxing full-time, though.

Vicious uppercuts from Morales considering the pace and how deep into the bout we are.

Badillo constitutes a step up for DDLH as he is perhaps a biggest puncher than Diego has yet faced, but he is also very chinny (nine losses, eight by stoppage...though in fairness all eight were stiff opposition and Badillo has endured a hard schedule...on the other hand most of his KO % is padded up with the dregs of the Mexican domestic scene, lots of cab drivers...)

    Round 1

De la Hoya is catching jabs on his right mitt and throwing a quick, sharp 1-2 into the face of Badillo. De la Hoya gets his left glove trapped in Badillo's armpit, so he bashes away on his chest with a series of thumping sidewinder rights. De la Hoya throws a blazing combo, 1-2-3-2 and knocks Badillo into the ropes. Badillo angles himself away from De la Hoya, turning his left shoulder to him to intercept.

    10-9 De la Hoya

    Round 2

De la Hoya clocks Badillo with a downward axe of a right hand after stunning him with a jab and then landing a low blow uppercut. So a two-for-one accidental foul. Didn't seem the least bit intentional, either part. Badillo shakes it off. Badillo throws a wild left hook after leaning away from a De la Hoya 1-2, just barely dodging it but then missing himself. De la Hoya swoops in with a lead uppercut from outside, just a set-up feint, landing a FLUSH left hook on the jaw as Badillo instinctively slides outside in a straight line. Haymakers from Badillo, standing in. BIG counter right hand by De la Hoya, with laser-guided accuracy, bang on the kisser. Badillo taking his punches well. Light jabs into the guard by Badillo, testing the waters.

    10-9 De la Hoya

    20-18 De la Hoya

    Round 3

De la Hoya is playing matador, taming Badillo's rushes and countering his wide upward swings off the hip and pivot-action roundhouses at chest height with precision combos, all straight punches, occasionally inserting a textbook left hook into a sequence but mostly favoring the jab and cross. Nice movement by De la Hoya, never letting Badillo get squared up.

    10-9 De la Hoya

    30-27 De la Hoya

    Round 4

De la Hoya is showing the jab and gliding around Badillo, patiently biding his time, catlike. De la Hoya sidesteps to cut off the ring and bats with a short left hook as Badillo paws a jab and looks to escape, not liking the sudden encroaching intensity of De la Hoya's presence. Badillo turns southpaw momentarily, hoping to disrupt his pursuer's rhythm. Nothing doing. Hook-feint, right-feint, and HUGE looping body shot by De la Hoya, impeccably timed, nailing the liver, and Badillo is down like a ton of bricks. He's done.

    TKO4!!

De La Hoya pretty legit. He's one to watch. Pretty tough division SBW right now, though. You have a pretty good amount of prospects coming up.
