Round 1

Cisneros jabs from too far out. Cisneros jumps to his left. Nervous energy by Cisneros. Rosa comes forward, jabs, coils back up. Cisneros is pushed to the ropes as Rosa unleashes some straight punches and falls atop him in a clinch. Break. Cisneros gets his jab going, circling and popping. Jab to the chin by Rosa, ducking and backing up with his hands low and getting hit. Clinch. Break. Lots of holding, little punching. Cisneros is diving and grabbing Rosa around the waist. Cisneros circles left and jabs. Rosa throws hooks from outside, not reaching. Rosa tries to jab in on Cisneros against the ropes. Cisneros battles his way off, throwing hard wide slaps. The ref warns "don't hold his arm" as they clinch and spin away from the ropes. Lots of tying up, most initiated by Cisneros. Rosa puts a jab up and slides it off Cisneros' bicep. Cisneros flurries on him.

Round 2

Rosa is pushing Cisneros across the ring with right hands and left hooks, moving in patiently when Cisneros uses the ropes for support and ducking his wide slap-outs. Rosa is keeping his left hand very low, throwing mostly right hands and eating some jabs from Cisneros but mostly turning and blocking the off-balance flurries Cisneros is throwing while backing up. Cisneros spending lots of time on the ropes, sitting back against them and trying to slap his way off with Rosa patiently picking shots.

Round 3

Hard jabs by Rosa, forcing them insistently up at Cisneros. Slaps by Cisneros backing up, then he dives in against Rosa's chest and holds. The ref breaks them. Long hatchet jab by Cisneros from outside. Rosa is stepping back and watching as Cisneros throws himself off balance diving in at the spot where Rosa had previously stood. Cisneros is flailing all around, as Rosa ducks inside, leans against him, pushes off, and lands body shots. Uppercuts inside by Rosa as Cisneros throws lots of light wavy punches through the air and misses. Rosa has Cisneros pinned on the ropes and clubs away at him, sidearm. Cisneros holds on. Cisneros tries to pin Rosa's arms down. Now Cisneros tries to slap his way free. Rosa leans against him, grinds forward, ducks, pops up, and lands clubbing rights.

Round 4

Rosa has turned southpaw, and is popping a squeaky-hinge right jab at Cisneros while circling in close. Cisneros tries to flurry past the jab but keeps getting caught with it and bothered by it. Rosa back to orthodox, left hand down low. 1-2 by Rosa. Cisneros buzzed, losing balance. Another 1-2 by Rosa!! Cisneros falls back into the ropes, grabbing the bottom rope with one hand and steadying himself on the canvas with another!! Missed knockdown call!! Rosa keeps coming and whipping right hands, going for the finish. Cisneros spoils...retreating, hurling his arms out in wide slaps, diving in, and holding. Rosa keeps jabbing in multiples, keeping his aim fixed on Cisneros' head and looking to land a right handbefore he gets held. Clubbing shots by Rosa as Cisneros flurries with taps to the body while bent over.

Mejia debuting.

 

Ah, they're only showing it piecemeal on partial tape delay due to time constraints to fill out the last ten minute of the broadcast.

Picking up from round 2.

 

Mejia getting hit a bit too much, but it's his debut after all. Ripping into Vega with spirited hooking attacks, while Vega is throwing straight down the pipe and snapping his head back hard.

Mejia has a "serious business" look on his face.

Slightly resembles Tapia if he ever had a shaggy tailless mullet.

Man, Vega is crunching him. Using the left jab as a power punch.

OHH, Mejia goes wild in the last minute of the 3rd. Firing uppercuts like no tomorrow. Pushing his opponent back.

 

Mejia is trying to close the show and end it inside schedule. He catches Vega and has him laying on the ropes, tangled between them. Ref lets him out. Mejia slugs away, past exhaustion. 100% full-force power punches. Vega is on the ropes again, trying to shoot back but getting caught with overhand rights and left hooks making him blink and swivel his head. Vega down from an accumulation of clean blows to the face.

The main event sure was. :good I'd love to see a rematch. Any TD leaves an unsatisfactory taste in the mouth, but especially so when there's so much dramatic ebb & flow.
