Another good surge for Pitbull in the 5th, causing Valentín to creep obliviously into ropes while bowing forward and tucking himself behind a guard. Eranosyan grinning at his own handiwork but not actually scoring all that much cleanly, just keeping on steady pressure.

    48-45 Valentín.

Valentín hammered down with an overhand right with just moments left on the clock! He beats the count and reaches the scorecards, by the skin of his teeth...

Might seal it for The Pitbull, though..

The brightly coiffured (what I can only call a "muppet 'fro, bivalved into a shock of grape juice purple and cotton-candy blue respectively") and tatted up Cuban prospect is coming off his first professional defeat, via TKO against Ryan Walsh just two days shy of a year ago. He doesn't look too rusty (at least in his punch execution and placement) as he tees off carefully with sharp twos and threes at mid-range on a very flabby Buitrago - with the veteran (and 34 year old blown-up light flyweight) seemingly interested more in spoiling and taunting his foe than fighting him.

    10-9 Socarrás

Like...the matchmaking itself really is garbage, that part is beyond Socarrás' control - but he could at least get rid of Buitrago instead of dragging this out like a light spar. :shakehead: He obviously has nothing to fear by putting a fine point on his many advantages - Buitrago, whose KO rate is just 7.69% with his three career stoppage victories, isn't even throwing anything back at him.

    20-18 Socarrás

Buitrago down early in R3...and quits near its end.

That didn't tell us a damn thing about Socarrás, nor serve his development. At least he's back on the active roser and in the W column, though?

...er, their main events are consistent in their even & enjoyable matchmaking, that is. The undercards are...hit and miss. (as was this one) :sisi1
