The main event is first, per the Boxeo Telemundo custom.

This is for the WBO Inter-Continental super flyweight title.

Johnny "The Labyrinth" Garcia of Mexico is rated #11 by the WBC.

Marvin "Chavacano Disaster" Mabait of the Philippines is rated #10 by the WBO, and has an inch of height and reach on Garcia and is a southpaw...but on enemy turf.

    Round 1

Mabait is parrying Garcia's left jab with his right, stuck out straight from his chest. Cuffing right hook by Mabait, curled around Garcia's neck as they press together and clinch. Garcia stumbles in off-balance into another clinch, swiping at Mabait's body more for purchase than in attempt to land and then lunging into a bad position with a right hand extended all the way out with his right foot in front as though he was turned southpaw himself. Mabait throws some right hooks around Garcia's arms, wide and smothered on the inside, rattling Garcia's head around in the crook of his elbow. Garcia falls. He stays on his back.

    KO1!!

Weird knockout. (not a single truly hurtful clean blow seeming to have landed, just lots of incidental contact from Mabait's forearm and partial connects with his glove)

Fourth one Garcia has suffered. He falls to 18-5-1.

Mabait improves to 19-1-2 (13), claims the minor belt and edges his way further into the rankings - now with only nine men separating him from mandatory contender status to challenge WBO champ Tomoki Kameda.

    Round 1

Aguilar is jabbing at Diaz's body on the outside and circling wide, then diving in to grab around Diaz' waist. 1-2s dropped into the back of the head by Diaz to deter Aguilar. Chopping right hand by Diaz. Jabs and sloppy looping rights to the body by Aguilar on the outside. Diaz steps back, then triples a jab into the air walking forward and gets Aguilar to dive in low, where Diaz drills him with another borderline rabbit punch.

    10-9 Diaz

    Round 2

Aguilar is bowling in the right hand to the body, telegraphing it badly and hooking it in a wide arc. Diaz is stepping back and countering with a 1-2 dropped down on Aguilar's head from his high guard. Aguilar reaches out and jabs the body a bit, but gets hit with short hooks above the ear
    as Diaz backs up.

    10-9 Diaz

    20-18 Diaz

    Round 3

Aguilar is leading with light hooks up top and following with curved scimitar rights to the body as he is backed up across the ring. Aguilar has a bloody nose, gushing down into his open mouth. Aguilar is covering his tracks with lots of arm punches. Diaz stalks and worsens his nose with jabs while trading body punches with him, landing a bit more authoritatively on the front foot.

    10-9 Diaz

    30-27 Diaz

    Round 4

Aguilar is sent out with his nose cleaned up. Diaz immediately targets it with his jab and then whips a right hand in, missing as Aguilar backs into the ropes and bounces diagonally by Diaz into the center of the ring. Aguilar manages to spin Diaz to the ropes and thumps slow uppercuts into his midsection. Diaz puts his head down and grinds into Aguilar, loading up on big left and right hooks to the head, rocking Aguilar but not backing him off. Aguilar keeps shouldering Diaz into the ropes until the ref orders a break and resets them on the Ford logo. Aguilar is forcing body hooking exchanges on the inside and getting the worst of them, as Diaz can throw moving in reverse and still outland him. Lunging 1-2 to the body by Aguilar, very loose and with no snap. Diaz dances out of the way and sits on the middle rope to spring himself at Aguilar with a left hook to catch him coming in. It only grazes.

    10-9 Diaz

    40-36 Diaz

    Round 5

Aguilar is putting the 1-2 on Diaz's belt line and stepping in with his jab up top. Diaz is slapping down to parry the jab and scooting away with pairs of short hops. Diaz is trying to line up a counter uppercut but not setting his feet firmly when he throws it. Aguilar keeps firing to the body moving forward in straight lines. Diaz flurries up top but doesn't find Aguilar cleanly.

    10-9 Aguilar

    49-46 Diaz
