It's probably tied again on the Telemundo card, unless they gave Rivera the 8th. It was honestly very close.

Double jab by Jimenez. Rivera pushes off the sides of his feet to move around Jimenez and flicks a jab while strafing. Jimenez misses a 1-2 over the top. Several straights to the face by Rivera, pushing Jimenez back into a corner and perhaps hurting him. BIG RIGHT HANDS by Rivera!! Clinch by the ropes. Broken up. More offensive dominance by Rivera, keeping Jimenez backing up and unable to get room to function with his widely swung hooks. Rivera is now taking the lead and laying his hands on Jimenez's face regularly. A pair of uppers to the body by Rivera, pinning Jimenez. Wild shots by Jimenez trying to buy a yard. Jimenez staggered by a jab while backing up!! Hard body shots by Rivera. Jimenez is pawing out a couple of jabs while backing up now, in full flight. Rivera squats and lunges forward with a jab to the body, sneering and shrugging at Jimenez.

Round 10

Rivera jabs Jimenez into a corner, but has to dart away as Jimenez thrusts out a few jabs of his own and drives through with a powerful right aimed at Rivera's body. Rivera takes his time working his way back in on Jimenez and picks him apart with straight shots to the face. Jimenez's legs are looking shaky. Jimenez is walked to the ropes and slapped with a hook to the body. Rivera ducks and weaves, letting Jimenez's uncoordinated jabs go over and around his head. Jimenez is waiting with his back a few inches out from the ropes, gun-shy. Rivera steps in with an overhand right. A few uppercuts inside, through and against the guard. Lead right over the top, pulled halfway, more of a "made you look" shot to get Jimenez stumbling backward even further off balance.

The 9th and 10th have been huge for "Chicano Rivera".

There have been moments where "Power Jimenez" looked as though he may have benefited from a merciful towel wave.

The boxer is out-punching the puncher. (and, of course, out-boxing him)

Exploratory jab by Rivera, converted into a hook. Jimenez claps his gloves together at the thumbs, backing up and getting the measure of Rivera. Leans to the side by Jimenez, looking for spots to counter-punch. Rivera darts in and out jabbing the body. Big lead right to the eye by Rivera, working into a combination to body and head trying to keep Jimenez trapped in the corner. Jimenez has a bad cut by his right eye. Jimenez keeps jogging in place and backing up when Rivera moves as if to throw. A few jabs by Jimenez. The ref warns them to watch their heads on the inside.

Round 12

Slaps to the hip by Rivera. Jimenez wobbles against the ropes and bounces, coming back swinging. Rivera threads in a jab to the face. BIG 1-2 to the face by Rivera, snapping Jimenez's head back. Enough shots coming back from Jimenez to keep a Mexican corner (or ref) from intervening on his behalf. Rivera turns southpaw and skewers Jimenez on an outheld right jab, snapping it from beyond the elbow. Jimenez tries desperately to hook a dent in Rivera's side, but whiffs thrice. Straights to the face by Rivera, backing Jimenez up across the ring. Uppercuts on the inside by Rivera, but he gets shoved away by the referee and warned for something, seemingly forearm use. Gum shield replaced for Jimenez. Time in. Jab by Jimenez taking a now-rare step forward. Half a minute left. Rivera throws a wide combo to the body to back Jimenez to the ropes. Counter right by Jimenez, nice and straight - but he soon reverts to wild hooking as Rivera ducks back to make him miss.
