Villanueva lands a big right hand and backs Lozano up, hopping on one leg for a few steps. Lozano recovers his legs and poise, tensing up and loading up to chop with a counter right. Villanueva jabs his way in and Lozano just misses with that right hand, dropped with the velocity and intent of a guillotine. Villanueva is staying close, twisting and arm-blocking, with Lozano hooking wildly at him. Villanueva is shouldering into Lozano at the waist, ducked very low so that Lozano can't find his head, and then rising up against him so they're practically clinching already before Villanueva starts to flurry. Lozano struggles as much on the inside as on the outside, and really does get in his best stunners when Villanueva gets sloppy and lazy with his guard in-between.

Villanueva is throwing the jab without fear of reprisal, then slicing in the long right hand behind it. Lozano moves back, back, back and then breaks into a circular trot before hitting the ropes, moving like a knight in chess, all in retreat. Lozano's body language shows that he wants to be engaging but he simply doesn't trust the positioning at the end of Villanueva's pike-like limbs or in the frottage quarters where Villanueva is more adept placing light taps all over in rapid sequence. Lozano keeps hopping in place, leaning forward a bit, and resuming offensive posture but giving up and resuming his flight when Villanueva comes at him with combos from his intractably far vantage point.

Yeah, Danny had an exceptionally strong last thirty seconds. It wasn't just a case of landing one hard punch or stealing it after the clap.

Villanueva is hooking the body and hammering down with right hands to the back as Lozano turns into him and ties up. Left hooks to body and face by Villanueva. Clinch. Break. Lozano charges in with a superman right hand, drawn back and launched like a pinball as he flew into Villanueva. Villanueva gets his right arm tangled in Lozano's left underarm and slaps him with several light hooks to the body. Villanueva is basically shoeshining all over Lozano while bumping him body to body into the ropes. Lozano has enough and sets himself to throw a powerful left hook, just missing as Villanueva ducks and keeps up the pit-pat.
