    Round 4

More body shots by Cruz, just pouring them in liberally. Delgado tries to step out and unroll a long jab to shave Cruz's mohawk off. Cruz is weaving his way in and through the slapping coutners of Delgado. Nice combo by Cruz up close as Delgado shimmies off the ropes and gets his jab rolling out again. Cruz keeps pressuring and tilts away from a right hand, taking it on the crook of his arm before mounting another body attack.

    10-9 Cruz

    39-37 OC

You gave Delgado the fourth? :think I can definitely see that.

To my reckoning there were just enough body shots from Orlando to offset Alejandro's effective jabs.

    Round 5

Long jabs by Delgado, keeping his left arm low and loose with a few limbering shake-outs here and there. High thrusting jabs by Cruz from outside, suffering for his T-Rex reach. Delgado paws his jab a bit, then drifts back to the ropes unbidden. Cruz follows and they clinch up. break. Another clinch. "STOP!" yells the ref as they spin around while locked together. Cruz is diving in with body shots and they keep tying up. Delgado misses a left hook, right hand combo as Cruz ducks and they nearly clinch again. Flush right jab by Cruz stepping inside. Delgado has a right hand lead blocked but lands the follow-up left hook. Cruz pushes him back into the ropes with their arms knotted up. Right hand into the guard by Delgado again, trying to follow with that left hook but getting blocked this time. Hook by Cruz blocked. Good 1-2 by Delgado. Another one.

    10-9 Delgado

    48-47 Cruz

    Round 6

Delgado is pot shotting with the jab and moving around on the outside, in either direction. Combos by Delgado, leading. Cruz is backed into a corner but tosses up a nice counter right hook to the face while running by Delgado. Right to the body feigned by Delgado. Big clapping left hand over the top by Cruz. Delgado reaches in with a left hook to the kidney as Cruz stumbles on a bad step, but the poor balance and the punch landing do not result in a knockdown as Cruz is able to steady himself. Long clinch.

    10-9 Cruz

    58-56 Cruz

The Telemundo scorers have Cruz up 58-56, the same as me - but got there by different roads. (1 & 2 for Delgado, with Cruz sweeping 3-6).

Kind of ****ed up - the Puerto Rican fights more like a Mexican (relentless pressure and body punches), and the Mexican more like a Puerto Rican (constant circular movement and jabs, jabs, jabs).

    Round 7

Delgado is whipping out high-arcing left hooks and pairing them with right hands. He keeps stepping around Cruz and clapping against his guard with those double shots. Cruz is swinging out wider hooking combos, landing in pairs to the face of Delgado but inviting cleaner connections from the straighter-punching Mexican. Lots of clinches. Cruz down. Slip, not a knockdown. Big flurry by Cruz, pushing Delgado into a corner. HUGE left hook by Delgado as they maneuver back to the middle f the ring. Body shots traded both ways.

    Desperately close.

    10-9 Delgado

    67-66 Cruz

    Round 8

Cruz is landing some huge left hands driving forward. Delgado is dancing around and trying to get his jab straightened out, but Cruz is giving him no time to get off and no room to breathe. BIG left hand lead by Cruz. Slapping right hooks by Cruz as Delgado ducks over to his side to try and catch a break.

    10-9 Cruz

    77-75 Cruz
