Break called. Cruz moves his head to nullify the effect of a right hand (taking it just partially on the throat) and lands a BIG left hand behind a right jab.

Good stiff right up-jab to the face by Cruz, asserting himself on the front foot confidently. Delgado turns side to side backing up to the ropse. Cruz pops him with a high straight left. Delgado holds his left arm in a low invisible sling, looking to jab up from the hip. BIG LEFT HAND STRAIGHT LEAD BY CRUZ!! Damn, as flush as it gets and it caught Delgado while circling with his feet unglued but he still didn't go down. Cruz is loading up heavily on that left hand now, smelling blood. Good combo by Delgado to avoid getting backed up to the ropes. Left hook, right hand. Big left hook to the body, spanking very loudly against Cruz's trunks. Clinch. Delgado aims a right between Cruz's arms, hitting the top of his belt line. Cruz launches another high left hand. Jab, left, jab by Cruz - putting Delgado on the ropes! Wild left hook by Delgado misses. Now an upper-hook misses, but he scores with a right. BIG right hooks and flush straight lefts by Cruz! Uppercut!!

1-2 by Delgado. Cruz ducks on the outside and lines up his own southpaw 1-2, landing FLUSH and snapping Delgado's head back with the left cross. Wild upward hooks by Delgado, missing. Big overhand right by Delgado, thrown from too far out. Body shots by Cruz as Delgado falls in with some shots. Delgado is pushed back outside by the right jab. Cruz is growing more patient and selective with his shots but putting more into them. Delgado paws with his left jab while circling, then changes direction. He seems a bit unsure of himself, and wanders into a Cruz left. Delgado throws a lazy jab, then coils it back in and winds it up to throw a wild left uppercut, missing. HARD STRAIGHT LEFT AND RIGHT HOOK COMBO BY CRUZ, as Delgado was lazily setting up a combo. Delgado is hurt, tired, and losing balance - and is battered to the canvas. Delgado beats the count but Cruz slams home another straight left! Another! Right hook! Left hand! Delgado melts into a puddle!
