There is no shame in having lost to Lock in '09 when he was on good form (same year Lock was in a thriller with Escalante, and a year after his top 5 FOTY candidate with Roger Gonzalez) or the reinvented DPDL.

Cruz is a very solid fringe contender IMO.

FWIW, Delgado acquitted himself as a fairly tough hombre for 15-5 - and a great deal more finessed than what is thought of as the "typical Mexican brawler".

At first glance, you might look at Epifano Mendoza's record and think "Yuck, what a bum! Beaten over a dozen times, stopped in several of them - and a blown up light heavyweight at that!"

He's not bad, though. Look closer. He's mostly only ever lost to unbeaten prospects or guys otherwise in the thick of their prime.

He upset Carlos Negron last year, and if Ortiz takes him lightly tonight history could repeat itself.

Maybe after the MW bout? :conf

The broadcast is probably 11:30pm-1:30am EST, so there is still time.

Fadoul "The Brown Bomber" Louis is 5'9", with 72" reach

Danny "El Bebo" Pastrana is taller at 5'11", but has a shorter 70" reach

Both are Floridians and in their early twenties.

    Round 1

Louis crawls in with long steps, as Pastrana looks to time a jab. Quick hook upstairs by Louis. Sneaky jab by Louis. Right hand by Louis. All single shots at a time, few and far between - but Louis is accurate and crisp. Pastrana just keeps working his way out and flicking a backhanded jab. Louis lands a right hand over it, even as Pastrana connects twice with the jab to the brow. Louis uses some jerky movements coming forward, waving his arms in front of his face. Hard jab by Louis. Body feint by Louis, gets Pastrana to jump back into the ropes. BIG left hook to the body ripped by Louis. Pastrana is wasting a lot of movement on the outside, slinking around in a quarter-crouch and writhing his arms around a bit. Slapping flurry to the guard by Pastrana.

    10-9 Louis

    Round 2

Jab to the body by Louis. Pastrana circles out to his left and tries to jab with Louis but is beaten to the punch. FLUSH jab by Louis snaps Pastrana's head back sharply. Louis now circles to his right, and now left again. Louis keeps landing the jab on the taller man no matter where he's moving. High jab by Louis is ducked, and he takes advantage by firing a quick uppercut. Now Pastrana has some success with his 1-2. Clubbing right over the top by Pastrana. Louis now bashes with his own overhand right, and lands a left hook to the body. Louis hooks at Pastrana's face but gets blocked. Hard jab by Louis marching forward. Pastrana tosses a lead right into Louis' guard. Short shuffling steps by Louis, keeping himself just in range to jab at Pastrana without getting hit with much in return. BIG BODY SHOT COMBO BY LOUIS! Pastrana is in trouble and getting backed up. Pastrana skirts off the ropes, but just gets bowled over by an accumulation of hard knocks. Now Pastrana is mad! He gets up and fires away in a big exchange!!

    10-8 Louis

    Round 3

Hard overhands by Pastrana. Stiff up-jabs by Louis. Pastrana hangs back on the outside and rolls his right wrist. Louis comes jabbing in, his footing a bit off. He backs out to reset, and comes marching back in with hard body shots. HARD BODY SHOTS! Lefts and rights...Pastrana is on the ropes. Louis backs out and lets him escape. Casual jabs by Louis, taking some time off to relax. Slapping overhand right by Pastrana. Lazy right hands poked in by Pastrana from outside.

    30-26 Louis

    Yes, a whole 90 second behind. :!:

Was that even worth mentioning? Excuse me for catching up by FF'ing through the between-rounds on my DVR to catch up. Nobody would have even needed to know if you had kept quiet. Does it matter to anyone reading that it's a minute away from being live?
