Juárez is getting cracked with downward plunging right hands now as he comes in. Diligently working the body with jabs and trotting in with high-slung no-look overhand rights, Juárez is nonetheless getting eaten alive from higher ground, Andrade sniping him from the clock-tower and riding with all his punches to render them ineffective, when they even get close enough to graze him. Andrade is twirling and planting both hands on the face of Juárez.

Juárez is charging in, hands down and chin up, the epitome of machismo, shrugging off Andrade's jabs disrespectfully. Juárez placing a few high rainbow lead rights on the side of the head, but not with much leverage, catching Andrade just when he's turning away. Juárez relentlessly pursuing, walking through jabs, nicking the body - and finally hits a BIG home run left hook on the very tip of Andrade's jaw, turning it sharply! Juárez follows up with some heavy right hands up top, chasing Andrade from one set of ropes to its opposite, Andrade leaving a breadcrumb trail of jabs.

Andrade cut on the right eye, badly enough they're having the physician take a close look. Could be headed to a TD..

edit: yes, replay shows it was clearly from a headbutt.

 

Round 7

Juárez is penalized a point for a headbutt (leaning in with a jab on the body, sort of leading with his skull but not flagrantly or anything; certainly don't think he meant to bump heads) that causes a bad cut on Andrade, which the physician taking a long inspection and the ref then waving "no" after signaling the point deduction. Wait, no - he's ...disqualified? (Juárez, that is). Both men removing their gloves now. Very confusing.

So, what the hell just happened?

 

Well, if this does go to scorecards for a technical decision, the 7th round counts - which means that point deduction from the ref could be critical...
