Valentín is stomping his way in, jabbing with authority. Valentín showboats a little, dropping his arms to sway in front of Santillán, daring him to indulge a free shot. Santillán slides in reverse and tries to measure out a full arm's length by miming a 1-2, feinting and nudging at Valentín's guard with it. Heavy uppercuts on the body from Valentín. Santillán is flicking out high jabs and twitching away, rolling his entire upper body backward to dodge Valentín's slower but heavier counters.

Valentín is rowing out a jab from the hip to Santillán's face. Santillán is backing up, picking shots off with his gloves, circling to stay off the ropes, playing possum...and walks Valentín onto a HUGE COMBO! LOOPING LEFT, RIGHT HOOK, RINSE & REPEAT! Valentín is staggered onto the ropes. Santillán takes advantage of his discombobulation at having had the tables turned, the hunter now become the hunted. Valentín is down! Up, but looking shaky, still in a daze. Santillán just pours on fat, round power punches, never letting off the gas pedal. Down again!! Santillán is just eating flush short right hooks inside and getting whacked alongside the neck and temple with baseball-bat lefts. Santillán trying to counter, but just pumping his arms out straight into the air on instinct, already halfway out on his feet. Finally waved off.

What a crazy turnaround in a round and a half.

 

Talk about taming a bull. Twas some judo "use the attacker's momentum against them" shit.

 

Well for three minutes and change it seemed like it was just a matter of time until Valentín did indeed smash him. Then, dipsy-doodle in the blink of an eye. Boxing is awesome!
