Forewarning: I don't yet know the result. If you are responsible for changing that before I've finished watching, you're dogfood. :rosstheboss

    Round 1

Álamo is hooking in on Morán, then drifting clockwise with his legs kicking together in a lateral trot, almost lazily traversing along the perimeter of the ring as Morán stays with him, leaned forward slightly to surrender his natural height & reach advantage, bundled up behind a high guard and throwing heat-seeking 1-2s and power jabs. Morán fakes a combo downstairs and instead scrapes Álamo's cheek with a come-up hook. They step together and both land hooks simultaneously, Álamo's having a bit more on it as he plants his foot and cigarette-snuffs it for leverage. Double jab by Morán.

    10-9 Morán

    Round 2

Álamo is dancing around, changing direction every couple of steps and dropping light but accurate pinpoint jabs between the gloves of Morán. Despite being the shorter man with the stubbier limbs, Álamo seems very comfortable boxing Morán on the outside. Morán nearly traps him in the corner and lands a 1-2 but eats a big hook for his troubles. Seems to be Álamo's money punch. Morán is jabbing the body, then showing a high cross but instead nailing Alamo with a hard left hook downstairs. Morán spends the final minute coming forward but not throwing anything, with Álamo skipping away.

    10-9 Álamo, super close

    19-19

    Round 3

Álamo is sticking in the jab and then jerking away from Moran's lead chopping rights and snappy double jabs in pursuit. Álamo is keeping outside that long reach, only getting touched barely with the straight right to his body. Morán comes in pounding the body and quickly gets his arms pinned by Álamo, swallowing him up. Álamo reverts to jabbing on the outside after the break. Álamo knifing in the jab and rolling his left glove in the air, standing by to knock down Morán's.

    10-9 Álamo, close

    29-28 Álamo

    Round 4

Morán is following Álamo post to post, eating a few jabs that cause his neck to involuntarily tilt backward, waiting for a spot to drive through with his right hand and skewer him against the ropes. Morán finally gets his wish and makes the most of it, unloading several consecutive straight punches before Álamo can wriggle his way off the ropes. Morán spends the remaining minute and change stalking behind a long probing jab. Álamo explodes off the ropes like a cornered animal with a strong closing flurry, but doesn't steal it.

    10-9 Morán, close

    38-38

    Round 5

Álamo is catching Morán's long jabs on his palm and shelling up as Morán wings up big overhand rights across the gap at him. Álamo picking his spots and hooking Morán when he turns him while navigating past the corners, staying readied by elevating himself on his toes as he moves and constantly paddle-balling out the left hand to intercept all of Morán's jabs, then occasionally shooting his own and even more occasionally hooking off it. Nice looping right from outside by Álamo, feeling himself now as the connects edge piles up in his favor.

    10-9 Álamo

    48-47 Álamo

The unofficial Telemundo commentator's scorecard also has it 48-47 Álamo, but took a different route to get there.

    Round 6

Álamo is carefully, dexterously placing in jabs and 1-2s and then jerking himself outside, while also circling to give Morán little change of finding a standing target. Morán is loading up, with lots of wing-and-prayer right hands whizzing past Álamo's rhythmically turning head, but a few making glancing contact. Morán with jabs on the body, hunting from afar. Quick slap-hook counters by Álamo coming off the ropes after shelling up to block a Morán straight combo. Álamo with a spiteful dig on the body as he passes Moran.

    10-9 Álamo

    58-56 Álamo

    Round 7

Morán is following Álamo, jabbing on an incline at his face even as the Puerto Rican bends his neck to face the ceiling and create an impossible sloped angle for Morán to catch him squarely. A few momentary scuffles produce no clear triumphant party or resolution, as both hit lots of arm on the inside before scrambling apart, much like a couple of alley cats surprising each other in the same dumpster and both emerging from a shrieking melee unscathed. Morán just keeping Álamo subdued with the jab on the front-foot in a largely nothing round.

    10-9 Morán

    67-66 Álamo

    Round 8

Álamo is sticking the jab and executing matador turns and quick reverse hopscotch, not letting Morán get a clean look at him. Álamo having to mind his p's and q's as he outboxes a longer and taller individual. Álamo making full use of his more educated feet and quicker hands. Morán is loading up every time he senses the distance narrowing, but his telegraphed hooks and right hands are caught on the backs of the arms before Álamo moves away while leaving behind a breadcrumb trail of light counter jabs in the face.

    10-9 Álamo

    77-75 Álamo

I don't understand why more fans don't make a regular habit of watching Boxeo Telemundo live or at least recording it (assuming you have the channel, but I think it comes as part of the boilerplate package with every major cable provider across the USA?)

Sure, there's pretty much never world championships on the line, and they usually aren't blockbuster marquee names, but ...while the caliber of boxing isn't world class, it generally is closer to it than any club-fighters you might see at local small hall shows, and is even on average vastly superior to most of Golden Boy's and Loeffler's (etc) social media streaming cards that are full of squash matches. Telemundo main events are, by and large, the definition of parity, and usually the matchmaking is curated with a keen eye towards producing some fun B-level fireworks. I've gleaned more p4p enjoyment from them over the years than honestly any other televised boxing, if we factor in all the duds that have dotted the landscape of ESPN/Versus/Showtime/HBO/DAZN/PBC in spite of their also having the big important match-ups. :nusenuse:
