To be fair there are some advanced 18 year olds but I feel there should be at least an amateur experience requirement of people this age. Otherwise you should be 21 or older.

I've always felt that when we start seeing females dying from boxing that the calls to ban boxing would be magnified.

    You're welcome.

    Phindile Mwelase was her name.

Becky Zerlantes died in an amateur competition back in 2005.

Are you serious or just virtue signalling? RIP to the young lady, but people choose to participate. Will you ban racing? Mountain climbing? Sailing? Cliff diving? Scuba? Riding horses? The list of risky unnecessary recreational activities that people participate in is endless. People do things that are riskier than hiding under their bed for the sheer joy of it. Life is dangerous and we all die at the end no matter what we do.

Jeanette had 5 fights in her career going into her last fight that proved fatal.
She had a record of 2 wins and 3 losses going into this last fight.
Whats disturbing to me is that Jeanette had been knocked out 3 months prior to her last fight that proved to be fatal.
Imo somebody needs to answer to why that young lady was allowed to get into a professional boxing ring 3 months after getting knocked out in her prior fight.
Things like this should not be swept under the rug, sadly I'm about certain everyone associated with the bout will wipe their hands clean of it all inluding the stinking Montreal boxing commision.

I don’t think there have been many. The only other one I know of is Becky Zerlentes but I believe that was an amateur bout.

Even if a country like the US were to eventually ban boxing, that just means that fights would move to other countries. I doubt Mexico will ban it.

Phindile Mwelase from South Africa died after being knocked out in a pro fight in 2014. That's the only other fatality in a female pro boxing bout that I recall.
