Seems like spiritual bs Bruce Lee: "Knowing is not enough we must apply" - "Willing is not enough we must do" Waste of time if your not gonna apply... "The tieing of the shoelaces" - cmon gimme a break love. Ive probaly completely missed the point but...
Interesting video, especially the part where they discuss the comparison between ballet and boxing. The woman at the beginning showed some impressive padwork. I was actually just reading an article earlier today about Hugh Jackman's boxing training, and he mentioned this gym and said it gave him great exercise. I think it's cool to see places like this that teach the boxing techniques without the sparring -- people can benefit from the enjoyable exercise without taking brain damage, and they probably don't actually care about learning how to fight anyway. Seems like a good deal to me.
But cmon...Say you felt like you learn't the skills you'd atleast want to spar with someone, full gear..whats the harm? 2 retired athletes enjoying what their doing and selling their buisness well is all I see... What's the membership fee? LOL
thats what i was excepting looks like a boxfit gym more then a boxing gym.nice to see a fighter who left the game in a bad way doing well plus the chick is hot.

Its alright. Many people take up boxing just to lose weight or stay in shape. I mean if I was a square yuppy boy anytype of boxing even non contact is better than pilates or taebo or even worse yet sweatin to the oldies with Richard Simmons.
This reminds me of something I read in Teddy Atlas' book. He gave a dancer called Twyla Tharp boxing training to help her get back in shape for a comeback after a long break. As odd as it sounds I guess boxers and dancers actually have certain things in common as far as having to train a lot of balance and split second timing so it kinda makes sense. But yeah, it's not something you'd often link together
Back in 68 I was still in high school and working as a stagehand part time. Youngstown had the first professional ballet company in the state of Ohio so I got to be around some top notch dancers. Top level dancers are some of the most incredible athletes you can ever imagine. One female dancer was attacked from behind one night on the way to her car and she was able to smack the dude up enough to escape without sustaining an injury, all on reflex and athleticism, no martial arts/combat training. Flexibility, strength, endurance, balance, timing, they have it all in spades.:deal
