Boxer - A fighter that is technically sound, is usually fast, and has good ring IQ.

Outfighter/Outboxer - These terms mean the same thing. This is a fighter that primarily fights from long range - mainly using punches such as straight 1,2's & jabs. They tend to have good stamina, and be quick of hand & foot - using distance to win bouts. They tend to have a low-work rates, lack punching power, & win bouts on points rather than by knockout.

A pure boxer can be an outfighter or not, I'd say. So can a boxer-puncher, who I always think of as a technically sound fighter, usually not as fast but with more power.

Outfighter pure boxer -- Larry Holmes
    Outfighter boxer-puncher -- Lennox Lewis
