Ward got out at the right time for his ego. He lost to Kovalev but they robbed him. He'd be lucky to keep his 0 vs Bivol and Beterbiev who were coming on the scene.

Andre Ward is a good one.

I think Lennox Lewis should have given Vitali a rematch at the time at least. I think Calzaghe could have possibly given CW a shot. Hagler and Mike Spinks had many more fights in him as well.

Maybe Froch as well, I'd love to have seen him against GGG.

Kronk fighter Jemal Hinton comes to mind. He was 22-0 17 KOs when he retired out of the blue at the age of 22.

    Heck, why not Tyson Fury.

That was so obvious that even the thick gypsy himself could see he'd retired too soon :lol::lol:

Hagler was completely shot by the time he fought Leonard, he did the right thing by retiring because he was getting slow as molasses.

Well he's defo not been putting any miles on that clock, it's been over 2 years since he last fought.

He's only 29 now but it seems like he's been around forever.

I wonder if he is actually done with the game.

Hughie had that blood condition that causes his body to have those pimples

My guess is that he can't pass a drugs test due to the medication he is on

Carl Froch retired with perfect timing.

Maybe a bit soon, he had still more fights in his body, but imho he took the very right decision. Better too early than too late.

(It's weird, I just realized that I was never his fan when he was active and I'm becoming his fan now that he's retired. The same happened to me with de la hoya.)

Good call. I liked him, he wasn't going to be champ but he was a solid fighter and I'd have liked to see him against Povetkin, Haye, and some of the other contenders of the Wlad era.

I always wondered if Spinks could have rebounded after the Tyson blow out. I think he could have beaten some good heavyweights still.
