I was wondering how many time a fighter could lose fights before retiering. So who is the boxer with the worse record you ever heard of? I got: http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=4788&cat=boxer
well look at one of the guys he beat, Eric Crumble, 0 wins 31 losses all by knockout, either in the first or second http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=5316&cat=boxer
Wow. It takes an iron will to keep boxing after that. this one also: http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=4741&cat=boxer
If we're talking sheer numerical losses, Reggie Strickland has to be a winner- http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=4741&cat=boxer Of course, Strickland is a boxing god in comparison to the likes of Frankie Hines, Marcus Rhode or the infamous Eric "Crumble By Name, Crumble By Nature" Crumble. Let's not forget, Strickland is a former GBF super middleweight champion!
http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=3372&cat=boxer Peter buckley of the uk.To be honest he is a decent fighter,he hardly ever goes down, and has taking on some top boys, its just he obviosuly aint interested in winning, and was happy to just roll along all thoughts of glory long gone, and the dudes still fighting,he may yet make the big 300 losses
Buckleys 39 and needs another 30 or so losses ,hes had 10 fights this year already,im sure he will carry on till he breaks the record, hes always pretty fit and will fight anywhere
"the Broken down Windmill" or "Greb's opposite" should be his nickname. Major Props though almost 300 losses and only stopped 10 times these guys should be respected as much as the better fighters because it takes mad heart knowing you go in the ring taking and 9 times out of 10 you will be on the worse end of it.
These threads pop up from time to time. Guys like Penelton and Reggie Strickland were able to amass such records because they often fought in midwestern states with weak commissions and rarely got knocked out and put on suspension. Strickland was actually a talented boxer but he rarely put forth any offense at all and came to lose every time out.
