    Marvin Hagler against Tony Sibson.
Sibson was a dangerous opponent but Marvin was imperious that night to use his own quote he simply dipped into his toolbox, he never looked better, an ultimate boxer fighter performance.

Really ? i'd compare that more to Holmes vs Ali than a "67 Ali moment" ain't nothing "67 Ali moment" about beating up a washed up former great fighter years past his prime.

What RJJ did to his opponents at the peak, Joe Calzaghe did to him.
That is the point of my example.
Otherwise, I would have to think very carefully about which boxer of the two I appreciate more.

Not really it was just a gunshy washed up RJJ laying on the ropes, and Calzaghe slapping him to death with combinations. Nothing really impressive about it.

The way I see this topic, was the thread creator was asking for a fighter who had an amazing standout performance in their career. RJJ vs Calzaghe doesn't fit that criteria for me, Calzaghe vs Lacy would be a better example.

Lomachenko v Anthony Crolla. A perfect Boxing exhibition capped off by a chilling, face plant KO.
I'm another in the Hagler v Sibson camp too.

Well, yes. It is very possible that you are right. But because of the quality of the opponents (I would not compare RJJ and Jeff Lacy), the spectacular nature of the event ...
Still I choose Calzaghe vs RJJ, rather than Calzaghe vs Jeff Lacy.
