That is for real? 2000 situps? I would think something would pull or strain with that amount.

You think benching 300lbs would put Holyfield on par with elite power lifters in his weight class?

No. A friend of mine competes at about 70kg weight class and benches ~150-160kg (330-350lb).

No, were talking over 300 pounds. Ive seen people claim 360 for ten which would put him close to a 400 pound bench press.

Ok, I share your skepticism on that specific claim, made by his self-promoting fitness guru. But that's completely different than questioning whether Holyfield can merely "bench over 300."

Its not really, 360 for ten is over 300 pounds. Was just giving a quick response to Seamus until I could see the exact number claimed.

As long as you agree that there's nothing ridiculous about believing that Holyfield "could bench over 300" per se, then I guess we're in agreement on this.

I've known dudes who barely lift and can bench 300. Some people are just gifted

Benching 300 hardly gets you noticed in a decent gym. Please.

    BTW, Terry Norris benched 300.

I knew this skinny little Chinese student who could bench 300.

He looked like a stiff breeze would blow him over!

And Evander is a gifted boxer not a gifted strongman.

Benching 300 is respectable in most gyms. The only place I see it being critized is online by people who probably don’t even lift. Where is this video of Terry Norris benching 300? I’m sure a 154 pound boxer popping up 300 would of caught the attention of someone with a camera.
