    Wayne McCullough.
One of the best chins in boxing, yet seemed to think that if you take your opponents punches without being visibly hurt, that should win you rounds on the scorecards, even though you’re not hurting your opponent either.
I’ve seen similar from Hagler and Steve Collins, but in Wayne’s case, these were fights were he was clearly outboxed by a wide margin.

Deontay Wilder hands down. Larry Holmes had lot of excuses too, even when he won, lol.

Bobby Czyz. From back spasms to liniment in the eyes to God knows what, he had a list, whatever the occasion.

Had a boss once who explained the difference between an excuse and a reason,,when I give it it's a reason, when you give it it's an excuse.

Roberto Duran, at least his fans anyway (and I count myself among them). Every single loss on Duran's record was excusable in some way. He partied too much, he was too drained, he was too old, he was too green, he was too small, he never trained, he deserved a draw here and a tight decision here, so on and so forth. In the times Duran has lost it seems from the way some frame it as if he never quite gets to that Goldilocks Zone when it comes to his age, or weight, or size being just right.

Georges Carpenter ... it's enough to make you sick. An excuse for everything from Dempsey to Tunney but nothing worse than his loss to Siki.

When it comes to fanboys - Mike Tyson's and Manny Pacquaio's are the most delusional.

Tyson never lost. All his opponents who beat him had rocks in their gloves, Holyfield did what Liston did and put poison on his gloves/shoulders.

    Pacquiao:
    1. Starving teen for anything under 122
    2. Marquez=lucky punch
    3. Morales=weight drained (Edit: Wrong pair of socks)
    4. Bradley=robbed
    5. Mayweather=shoulder (healed with salt water after fight)
    6. Horn=dirty
    7. Ugas=old

    Duran can probably compete.

    You've missed his best 2
In Zaire " I was about to knock Ali out when I saw a friend at ringside cheering for Ali and it put me off :
Against Jimmy Young " I didn't knock him out early because the promoter asked me to make the fight last to accommodate more TV commercial breaks into the telecast "

Even though he's one of my favorite fighters of all time, Chavez Sr. always seemed to have an excuse when he lost.

Are we counting excuses not to fight Floyd in 2010? If so: won't be tested 14 days before the fight as it would affect his performance.
