As said before Ali's own doctor is stated as saying Ali suffered from Dementia pugilistica back in 1987.

Yes it has not been proven that boxing caused Parkinsons disease in Ali and Roach but it has not been disproved either.

Meldrick Taylor is shocking, if you watch any interviews with him before Chavez Sr and a few years later it's actually quite upsetting.

Us boxers seem much more damaged than other nationalities.

De la hoya looks and sounds like he's been a promoter for his whole life. Mosley seems to have taken brain damage after all those beatings, only time will tell.

Whatever, his own doctor said he suffered from both and some guy on the Internet says it was only Parkinsons.

Even Roach was told by some doctors that boxing blows had most likely caused his Parkinsons.

Just to be clear, I'm interested in which boxers have and haven't suffered rather than arguing over medical terms. The thread title only allows so many characters I couldn't list all dieseases / brain injuries linked to boxing.

I wonder if they did further tests / investigations on Ali's brain after his death.

It's entirely possible that the theory that the more cerebrospinal fluid a person has in the brain the less brain damage they'll get from getting contact in the head is true. All brains are mostly the same in structure so the only factor here should be the differences in how hard the brain hits the skull.

    M. Taylor, Toney, Bowe, Norris come to mind as far as the last few decades are concerned.
