Paul Spadafora has done me some erratic things, but that might just be alcohol.

I can't believe how good Chuvalo aged, all his faculties, even when his turbulent life he is still here and even got some cool hair.

Mexican fighters hold up really well.
    Chavez Sr looks crispy.
Jake LaMotta is a perfect example as well. That man is 95 and CRISPY AF.

    Got it.

In reality what difference does that make? I mean was Ali much better off than Jerry Quarry? As I see it the hits to the front or back of the head can both screw up the brain in different ways which greatly reduces the quality of life. Jerry only lived to his early fifties and didn't appear to be fully aware of what was going on in later life, Ali lived much longer and from what you say was fully aware - who suffered more Doc ?

I wonder if it's better to be knocked out clean nice n quick as appose to someone who has an iron chin and takes a prolonged beating?
We seen with Nick Blackwell with Eubank Snr ringside saying "he's gonna get hurt"turns out he was right, those mismatches shouldn't happen in my view to start with?

Jeff Lacy is another one that is starting to slur.

People say Roy, but Roy is just country, My Alabama family
members sound just like him and nothing is wrong with them :patsch

Jermain Taylor is pretty much the poster child of this modern day. When you think about how humble and down to earth he came out to where he is now.....just sad.

I would rather be Ali and by a landslide. He was able to think clearly and even do some athletics. Parkinson's is largely suppressed when exercising. It's why Roach can put the mitts on. Ali accomplished a lot after boxing.

Quarry on the other hand spiraled into into dementia. There's the "no brain, no pain" phrase but in reality someone like Quarry would be really depressed. People with Alzheimer's, etc do not enjoy their last years. You basically need good neural activity to be happy, not a mushy cerebrum.

All three of these guys from deep in the South. They all talk funny. Taylor is the only one who's really behaved like a weirdo, but he somehow looked good in his comeback. Not sold on any of them completely.

Clean. Most boxers who die are in small weightclasses and take an accumulation.

Isn't it interesting that the day after Ali's death his long time doctor announced to the world that they were all wrong. That Ali's Parkinson's symptoms did not come from boxing?

Mike Quarry ended up the same way as Jerry did. Mike died at 55 years old (2006). Jerry died at 54 years old (1999)
