Always wondered this. There bodys take a beating in training and during the fight and after the fight. Do they get tested for them? Are they allowed to take them?:huh Cause I work out everyday and I feel beat to death daily.
Quite sure painkillers aren't allowed (yes, I know... Vegas), unless their opponents "administer" them.
I have a suspicion that Oscar was on Hydrocodone for the Pac rematch. . . I remember during training camp he was popping pills, and one of them that looked exactly like the big blue hydrocodone 10's, he said "and this one is for the pain. . " Then he took another and said "and this is for the pain im going to cause Pacquiao. . ." It affects your liver, and the way you hydrate, so I think it could have played a part in his failed attempt to rehydrate. . Of course I'm not saying "I KNOW" he did, or that I even know it was a codeine based pill he was taking, but just a thought. . . I do know that it would help a boxer in a fight, though. . It helps improve your pain resistance, obviously, and it also helps with fatigue/soreness. . I took some before working out, and I just kept wanting to do more, and more situps. . .
All pro sports have pain pill problems, I advise all of you to stay the fuuuuuuck away from opiates. I would smoke a crack rock before popping oxys.
a-side meth is not even remotely close to what you're talking about. ...and again, it's not on any list of banned substance on any organization.
