I was wondering about which attributes suit a boxer the best or make him the better man in comparison with a boxer with another skillset.
In the Haye vs Klitschko example many people claim Haye´s power and speed are too much for Klitschko´s power and chin.
If you could choose a combination of 2 attributes(power, chin, speed, stamina, defense, heart, toughness, workrate etc.) do you think there´s a combination that can be clearly favored over the others or is it like a rock, paper, scissors concept because styles make fights and for every skillset there is a counterpart?
I for one would go with power and chin as a good combination but a lot of people seem to think power and speed(Haye-Klitschko) and power and workrate(Pavlik-Abraham) beat power and chin. Also i´m aware that every boxer has more more or less developed attributes going for him, but if you could reduce it to two attributes, which ones would you choose?

Power and speed, life is so much easier with a one punch finisher and you can use your speed to make up for your no existant defense :yep

Dont you think Herbie had Power and Speed?

    Didnt help his defence much.

Herbie was a hyped UK fighter when he met Vitaly.

I see some flaws in your speed + 1 Punch power makes up for no defence

    And I love you too

Herbie Hide is nothing like David Haye, they're both black and they both fought at cruser thats about as similar as it gets.

    Hyped by who?

Bowe was a massive favourite against Hide and Hide wasn't even British.

Herbie Hide was a BBC favourite at the time he met Vitali. I was saying that his speed and power didnt help him much. At this moment Haye is hyped (in the UK) just like Herbie was, maybe more. I see some resemblences in both fighters fate whenever they meet somebody that require them to have a defence. If Hayes speed is his defense, he better not throw too many hayemakers because those tend to get you out of position for a while..

Speed + Chin (McCall-like) is unbeatable...

Why don't you try answering the question on the thread rather that spiraling off into rants about Herbie Hide, i don't give a **** about Herbie Hide.

It's a good combination. Shane Mosley is probably one of the better examples of these two qualities combined. Fast hands, great chin.

    Chin + Workrate

    OR

    Accuracy + Power

However, no system is a definite winner. There are so many other things to take account of. A combination of two is not everthing; a fighter has to have other skills thrown on top.
