I'm curious about bouncing/hopping while sparring or during a bout. 1. What is it's use? I think I know, but I want to hear other opinions. I know that it's usually done only out of range to reset, loosen up. 2. And done properly, do think think the two footed bounce or the hop from one foot to another is superior? 3. And why do many pros square up when they do this a tad? Cheers
It's using the elastic energy of the tendons to reduce the metabolic cost of using muscles, reacting from an eccentric position is quicker than a purely concentric movement because the passive structure of the tendons bounces you forwards/backwards at a fast speed.
When you're already bouncing like that, it allows you to move around quicker. And object in motions tends to stay in motion. The only problem is you can't sit down on your punches as well and it expends more energy over a prolonged period of time than just sliding around the ring
Your muscles don't have to do much work or use up much energy, the bounce is the tendons stretching and recoiling, that's why jogging is easier than walking fast. You see boxers do this mostly on the outside as you said, everyone has their own rhythm and muscle tendon stiffness/compliance so some appear bouncier while others move seemingly without any effort. Your tendons do the work, not your muscles so that makes it efficient.
Not my fault you're a dumb****, I wasn't saying anything complicated. There's these things called tendons, google that **** :good
how the **** does talk about tendons help anyone?? you're the dumb****. trying to seem smart with all this insignificant sports science garbage
Shutup you pleb atsch Boxing is based on Rythm, fighters who develop a bounce have an alternate rythm, if you can do it, then fantastic it's another dimension to your game.
