The funny thing is Arturo was a lightweight/junior welter. Imagine if they put them in there with someone like say...Evander Holyfield or Roy Jones Jr...

Oh, wait...they did use Roy in an episode.

And while I know most here don't like MMA..they also used Randy Catoure in an episode...and he ****s dude up big time.

And finally some better footage of Arturo beating the Joes down:

You just seemed to find it hard to believe, whereas in my opinion it's actually very easy to take someone out - anyone - when they aren't expecting it.

To use one of your phrases; 'I didn't mean to annoy you.' :good

I actually got 'jumped' a while back, or to that effect, by a gang... The absolute honest truth, I ****ed 'em up! They came at me one at a time and were obviously not fighters, it can't have taken longer than three seconds to dispose of each.

On another occasion a few years back, my legs were taken from behind while drunk, landed on my head, and it was as easy as that.

    All good mate.

I have to admit I do find it hard to see some average guy taking a boxer out without the use of a weapon, superior numbers or completely taking them unawares (taking their legs out from behind is understandable for one).

I've seen a guy who was a trained fighter who used to work the door of a club I used to work at fight and it was a no contest. He wasn't a big guy but I saw him absolutely hammer a couple of much larger lads on seperate occasions within a matter of seconds. He only fought a few times amateur but he was leagues above any of the blokes I saw him fight off the street.

Anyway I'm glad to hear you ****ed that gang up that jumped you.Am I right in guessing you've done a bit of training yourself?

If so I'm not at all surprised that you belted them if they came at you one at a time and it sounds as if they deserved it as well.

    Well done.

Yeah I've done a bit (infact I've had a few unlicensed bouts). I'm pretty skinny and not intimidating by any means which is probably why they gave it a go, but throughout my life I've always been doing something combat-based so I've managed to literally and metaphorically punch well above my weight, which can be handy.

Gangs jumping people is all too common now though, and next time I might not fare so well.

To use a boxing analogy, its the punches you dont see that hurt. I would imagine the same applies in the street/bar/nightclub

It was a few years ago over a dispute over something that was not made entirely clear at the time. maybe someone wanted to teach him a leson, i dont remember but the up shot was magee had his knees done with a baseball bat - hardly a fair fight. The impresion I got was that magee upset the wrong people.

after a long lay off, after being told he would never fight again he came back to the ring with one leg strapped. magee had to alter his stance somewhat, since the leg was no good. restrickted somewhat magee still won his comeback fight but he just did it to prove defiance, that he wasnt finished.
