IMO there are a few that should be going either up or down, guys that aren't suited to there current weight class Juan Diaz should be a SFW or LW, 140 is all wrong for him. Why not see if he can lose some extra weight and aim for 130? Its no good for his speed, and being a pressure fighter this is his number one asset Anthony Mundine has no business at 154, ffs sake he has come down from 168 to 160 and now this? He looks like a ****en POW at weigh ins and has zero pop left and his foot work and stamina seem to have diminished along the way who else? Adamek back to 200? Dawson to 168?
Paul McCloskey(140 European champion), should be fighting at 135, very classy fighter who'd really benefit from a good strength and conditioning coach and the drop in weight. He doesn't train full-time at the moment though which is a major issue, especially for a fighter showing potential World Class ability.
All the elite fighters at welterweight, apparentely all of them are either too big or too small for it.
Yeah people are always calling for guys like Clottey to move up, and what? lose their advantage at the smaller weights? :nut
All fighters seem to be at the wrong weight. Seen how they come in 10-15 pounds heavier after a weigh in.
i don't blame him for chasing pac, he did pick up some scalps along the way, so i don't think it was a lost cause. but can't help and wonder the hell he would be raising if he stayed at 126 or 130. he would of avenged his loss to john and beaten gamboa in a classic.
I don't at all like seeing Joan Guzman so slow and fleshy @ 135, of recent he's been ballooning after weigh-in's not a great look. SFW would probably be best for him atm
Eddie Chambers. He should really be a cruiserweight, but he's doing well as a heavyweight and many boxing analyst consider him the 3rd best heavyweight behind the Klitschko brothers. Usually this type of situation happens in the heavyweight division. Chris Byrd for example should of been a LHW throughout his career and Michael Moorer should of been a cruiserweight.
