Lets say you box full time for five years. Each day you spend a large amount of your time on the 150 lbs heavy bag. What is the probability of having long term hand pain as result of hitting this bag? Is there a better way of prepping your hands to help alleviate this arthritis pain?

Is this in theory or are you suffering from arthritis thanks to hitting the bag? I've done bag work for a few years now and my hands have improved by miles actually.

I might be suffering from arthritis. The bag work and twelve to fourteen hours per day on the computer working.

So you think that bag work actually improves arthritis conditions? A lot professional boxers suffer from hand pain.

Try a different method of wrapping your hands, I personally putting 5 layer of wrap on top of my knuckles as a pad, then wrap it to keep it in place. No hand problems at all after that.

Think what moves your Hand, a primary source, thats why Heavy Bags are not a good idea. Have a play with your arm while moving the Hand Left, right, back, forward ,circles, have a Feel its a great way of working it out.
