Seriously 99% of boxers won't fight unless the have some kind of advantage if they think they're "a side". It's really becoming a joke. Just man up, fight and see who the best man is. You have mma fighters jumping weight classes no problem win or lose. Even the most elite ones like Conor now or bj Penn in the past
Duck runhugger has fought in 5 weight calsses, and fought the best. Your hero little g has never fought above c level, refused to fight Ward, and has only fought in 1 weight class.
To a point so do it. He has helped pave the way for others to duck and dodge and wait till people decline. It was once 75% sport 25% business now its 80% business 20% sport.
Boxing just needs to ditch the ABC belts or atleast stop recognising everyone as the world champion and rather just a regional one. Merge a few weightclasses.
If and when the top MMA fighters are making the same kind of bank as boxers, the same pattern will emerge.
there is way more in boxing and more to lose, there are fighter making massive money all over the world in boxing
So your complaint is that there isn't enough weight climbing in boxing anymore? Manny Pacquiao 106-150, Floyd Mayweather 130-154, Juan Manuel Marquez 126-147, Miguel Cotto 140-160, Roy Jones 160-200, James Toney 160-200, Nonito Donaire 116-126, Amir Khan 140-155, Adrien Broner 135-147, Andre Ward 168-175, Naoya Inoue 108-115, Roman Gonzalez 106-112, Sergio Martinez 147-160, Arthur Abraham 160-168, Guillermo Jones 147-225, Paul Williams 147-160, etc
Ward's a bum doe, never fought one great fighter, hell all the people he fought retired instead of fighting GGG. Hagler fought in 1 division but i bet he's a bum as well right? :rofl
Losses aren't penalized in MMA to the extend that they are in boxing, and MMA is basically one company with slaveowner level control over their fighters. They fight who they're told or they don't get paid, and they're still under contract. Boxing has been characterized by ducking for as long as it's been a sport under the Queensbury Rules.
