...but used other positives in their arsenal to counteract this and still have a very successful career.

    Examples welcome. :good

Cheers :good Chris Byrd, Jimmy Young & Miguel Canto as well.

All great defensive fighters who used their craft & savvy to beat some monsterous punchers.

    Edit: Willie Pep

I don't think Ward and Mares are completely punchless, they have just fought a lot of guys that don't get stopped. The only fighter Ward's fought recently that he should have got rid of is Green.

    Gianfranco Rosi :bbb

I remember watching him fight on Eurosport many years ago, and they fed him a bum beyond believe as challenger for his title.
Really that guy was sooo bad, he never had a half decent win in his life.
They did it to give him a KO win on his resume, but he couldn't get the bum outta there... It took the referee with a British stoppage to hand him his TKO!

Gonna takae this chance to praise Mayweather, who is often shat on for "being feather fisted". . . Couldn't be further from the truth. . His "one shot" power is solid - very "spiteful", and "stinging". . . Same with his toughness. . . Very tough, mentally, and physically in the ring (OUTSIDE the ring is a different story LOL - he's the effeminate male outside the ring!)

Paulie Malignaggi, and Juan Diaz both had very shytty one punch power; HENCE: "Diaz vs. Malignaggi: PILLOW FIGHT! LIVE! on HBO Boxing After Dark!"

To be honest, I don't think Margarito has very good "one shot" power. . . He relies on digging, and shoveling uppercut, after uppercut to break you down.

Vitali's "one shot" power is also a little overrated (HUGE fan of Vitali, and Wlad BTW). . .

Zuri Lawrence big fella dont think he stopped anyone - maybe he got 1 against a weak opponent

Ian Nappa a british fighter - went most of his career without stopping anyone, finally got an early night after beating up his opponent with body shots i think

Pernell Whittaker always looks like he should be able to crack but didnt have many stoappages
