a street fight doesnt always involve highly skilled opponents and in uk often involve lots of alcohol (ive seen fights between men that can hardly stand before they start fighting) - no doubt a short skilled guy would be beat a big unskilled drunk guy. Also allow for strikes to the eyes and throat, use of bottles, glasses, ashtrays, bricks a group of mates ready to jump in then height and weight can be levelled up.

Not really a fighter myself but some 'acqaintances' are (granted some might be big lads but they not in shape) and the ones that fight a lot win because they are 'mental' have been beaten up before and really dont give a **** and dont adhere to any rules and often are good at playing the police game and dont get charged for assaults.

Id say anyone who is law abiding and fairly mentally stable will be a bad street fighter as really dirty tactics wont come naturally

NFL offensive Linemen Bryant McKinney for the Vikings broke Shannon Briggs jaw in a fight when Shannon was talking **** to McKinney's friend

 

When I lived in Oklahoma, just outside of Tulsa, word was that Tommy Morrison who used to go to my gym picked a fight with a karate guy and got caught with one. I heard Tommy was a little drunk; although I don't know if it's true. He did show up at the gym with a bit of a black eye, but that could have been from sparring.

 

I heard Edwin Valero was attacked during a night out at a club some time last year, not to sure tho may be a rumor.

 

Tyson was down here in South Florida once and was talking to the wrong girl and got sparked by some big ass Jamaican dude, kinda funny it was seen in the ring a few years later. I cannot remember who I know who saw it, but I remember hanging out one night with some of the guys from the gym and one of them had seen it happen.

I know Haye sparked some guy in London at a club. I was heading to the gym with David one day and we were talking about hanging out at Red Room the night before and stupid stuff that happens in clubs, he said there was one time this guy was just staring at him all night and when the guy walked up to him towards the end of the night David just turned around and laid the guy out.

 

Huh? Didn't Briggs end that guys career because of that incident and Bryant Mckinney currently suffers from occasional headaches and affected his eyesight? He sued Briggs for $2 million dollars after that.

 

Yeah. The actualy story was that Mckinney bum rushed him outside of Mansion night club in South Beach and got whacked by Shannon, who broke his eye socket.

 

I think the initial reports of that incident said he had been stabbed, but that ended up being bull****.

Anyway, Edwin survived a full-frontal, high speed trip through the rear windscreen of a car. That ****er can probably handle anything.

 

I also read some time ago when Shannon Briggs was still training under Teddy Atlas, both of them beat up a bunch of guys in a club. I think it was in Teddy's book IIRC.

 

i defintly agree...also some guys will have a mandem with him. so going to the floor might be able to put a good armbar or somthing....but those guys friends will be beating,stabbing,stomping you out.

a right hand to the jaw can make a man drop. arm barring him is not goign to stop him...he may get hurt and break his arm but he will still be able to control most of his body.

and also this isnt street fighter where balrog doesnt know how to kick...please what mug boxer or non boxer knows how to at least throw a kick.
