But get sparked in a streetfight in a club could mean different things like smashing a bottle over his head and not neccessarlily getting punched.

Maybe so, though i'd still pick Tyson in a street fight with Kimbo. Kimbos a big guy but doesnt have the speed or skills that Tyson had. I think if that ever had happend it would have been Tyson in less than 1 minute. Tyson rushes in bobbing and weaving behind a jab and the unleashes a couple of shots and right then Kimbo is seeing stars. Yeah Kimbo is a big strong hard man with heavy hands - why doesn't he step in the ring? Why did he go MMA instead? When he beat Mercer in MMA he didnt try his luck trying to stand up and strike with Mercer he went for the take down and choke out and Mercer wasn't prepared for that...rather foolishly as it was MMA. But he was lead to believe it would be a stand up and strike kind of match. Had that been the case we all know Kimbo wouldn't have had much hope.

I personally doubt any stories of Tyson being KO'd in the street by anyone. Not saying its impossible but highly unlikely. Heard of a couple of stories of punks trying their luck when Tyson was in prison and they got their asses handed to them fast....like one shot and its over.

These hard guys on the streets - yeah they may be hard, fearless and stupid...often when they've had a drink and got dutch courage! They know know rules neither (and most have zero skills or stamina) but take those same guys into a boxing ring and I guarantee you they would be tomato cans. Any of 'em!!! There's a lot of money in boxing if your really sucessful and if any of these 'hard' street punks thought they were really something they'd become boxers and show the world what they can do - and become rich in the process. But in reality they're nothing. Yeah if they sucker punch someone who's not ready for them they'll win...but then thats hardly a fair fight.

On the street a average Joe would have a chance - if he got in there first and also if he was able to bum rush the boxer and take him to the ground. If he tried to stand up and punch with a boxer he'd get KO'd....assuming the boxer has at least an average boxers punch. Average Joe on the Street isn't used to getting hit and he has no skills. And when he does get hit on the chin he always goes down. Thats why street fights rarely last even 1 minute. Someone starts with a shot out of the blue and thats the first warning to the other that they're in a fight and seconds later its on the floor and over and usually they guy that started it is on his feet throwing his boot in! Some of the street fights i've seen are a farce - almost comical to watch scrappy and messy affairs that look embarrassing. This reminds me of 2 guys I used to work with - they were arguing in the works canteen and a fight broke out. OMG i've never seen something so pathetic.

I've heard Nigel Benn and Joe Calzaghe mention in tv interviews of instances were punks have tried their luck and picked a fight with them! And they both taught the punks a harsh lesson in reality!!

Its a question of class. I dont know how long you been around "real" boxing but if you have been aorund long enough you would see it for yourself. 210lb is nothing, I'm 140lb and I regularly sparred 220lb newbie...at first I could knock him out at will. Now he's had a good year of training we are fighting on even terms. This happens alot in gyms.

Boxing have weight classes because fighters are of simmilar class in terms of ability and skill. However put a skilled guy like Naz in there with a 250lb guy off the street and its Naz by KO in the first 20seconds.

Bearing in mind the average HW chin is 10* harder than a guy who's never been hit before.

Thats a video of gatti fighting some HW in Joe's vs Pro's. This is a shot to pieces Gatti fighting a HW guy wearing headgear and Gatti is knocking him all over the place. Now imagine this was a prime Gatti at 135lb hitting these guys barefisted and them without headgears. They would be in hospital.

Lennox Lewis was grabbed once as an amateur on the New York subway for his sneakers, I heard Lewis tell this story once, he explained how he could have killed those clowns if he wanted to, they weren't armed but just tried thier luck.. Lewis stood his ground and the dick heads fled..

One of the most popular small fighters that caused mayhem in a club was Jeff Fenech. In Atlantic City around 1990 Jeff was confronted by an angry doorman / Bouncer, Jeff was refused entry for no apparrent reason, when Jeff requested an explaination he was pushed by the 300 lb doorman, who Jeff swiftly knocked out with a single head shot.. True Story....

I remeber a good few years back around 2000.

Daniel Alicea the young Peurto Rican who floored and then was knocked out by Naseem Hamed in 2 rounds.

He was mugged in a New York alley and they bashed him up a bit and broke a few bones and stole his camcorder - they must have seen he was a tourist type and took advantage

I have been out on the town with Shannon, he a very bad drunk and a explosive type of person, he is a nightmare in his hometown, Bulli which is south of sydney, he bashed hundreds of people.

One story A friend of mind told me was that Shannon was in court accusted of bashing a couple of people in pub brawl and what he said to judge was just stupid, that all those clown he bashed that hit all of them on the button. He said that to the judge.
