Man I like JT, but yeah he's not the brightest bulb by no means. I read an interview with his trainer, and he was talking about the first time he took JT out of Arkansas for an ams tourny, and JT couldn't believe that St. Louis was not in Arkansas.

It was on HBO's site, don't know if it's archived there, but it would make you laugh your ass off.

Yes, she is "evry" proud of me. More for my correct spelling and punctuation than anything though.

I'll take the rest as a compliment, since you coherently argued against absolutely nothing I said.

for the most part, most boxer's know the scoop and follow other boxers since their amateur days, especially if their from their local area winning tournaments or some kind of titles and if they're close to the same division they are, they know who they are. especially if it's a fighter from a country they tend to overhype their fighters, i'm sure wlad's heard of hayes. both klits are in particular very good with these mind games

I actually have a lot of respect for Taylor. He grew up in a house of women, didn't follow the sport, admits to not being a keen fan of watching it and yet still manages to perform at a world class level. For the poster who said Taylor had not heard of Bernard Hopkins before he fought him, I think that makes his wins over him more remarkable.

Not saying he shouldn't take the time to study the sport's fighters a bit more, but how many world class athletes aren't genuinely interested in their chosen profession?

You are far too harsh on them, mate!

Lets not forget that most non-english speaking fighters dont have as much assess to fight infos as have fighters who can speak english more or less fluently!

I remember when I interviewed cruiser weight Lubos Suda I was quite amazed about his lack of information on some of cruiser weight rivals out there.
Suda couldnt speak neither english or german nor any other mayor language.
Pro boxing isnt that popular in the czech republic and Suda has no clue how to operate a comp.
He is caught in the czech world without any assess to the world wide web.
Language barriers can also block your access to the international fight scene.

Some months ago Suda gave it a try at K1 where he easily beat Gary Goodridge,an experienced K1 fighter.
Suda didnt know **** about Goodridge before the fight.
At times it is better not to know that much about your next opponent in the ring.
Generally spoken the language of the international fight community is english. As you may know the english language speakers tend to overrate their own boys.I can fully u nderstand them as they dont see that many fights of fighters who are russian - ,japanese -, or german based.
Nevertheless, english as the dominating language tends to make the american and english based fighters bigger and better than they are really are.
I dare to say that a good and undefeated russian pro with a record of 13-0 is better than an american pro with 26-0 fights. Most American fighters have padded records and didnt face really tough opposition early in their career. Most american or american based journeymen cant hold a candle to their russian counterparts.
    You got my point,didnt you??!!!

You know Dimitry Pirog?? No??? Lack of love for your sport /hobby???

Pirog is one of the hottest prospcets at middle weight. He only has a dozen fights in the paid ranks ,but he has been extremely toughly matched so far.He will soon fight for one fo the abc belts.

Never heard of him?? Neither did Wlad of Haye!
