Boxers make poor idols but Oleksandr Usyk breaks this trend

I honestly like it when fighters are a little crazy and twisted. Definitely don’t hold it against them.

 

He really is the model athlete

 

Most celebrities in general are pretty shitty idols.

 

Don't idolise any human
They are not to be worshipped

However, Usyk is a stand up guy (from what I can see) and well worthy of great respect

 

Walking down the street barely anybody would recognize Usyk unless he is in his Home country

Same goes for Fury or AJ

Again, unless you are a die hard Boxing fan or are from the country they are from nobody knows those guys.

In reality, Grandpa Mike Tyson is more known 100 fold world wide then the above, everybody knows who he is, even zero Boxing interest casuals.

 

To be honest, Grandpa Tyson is also WAY more famous than Floyd, Pac or Canelo combined worldwide and that's a fact.

 

I haven't seen this kind of fanaticism on this board since Pacquiao fans in in the early 2000s.

 

yeah, he has earned my respect as a man, which carries more weight than respect for a boxer, in my world. He is the type of man i would willingly let lead me in war. a mans man.

 

Dear god, as much as I am an Usyk fan, I hope you are not transferring your homo-erotic Fury crush to him.

 

Since he declared Fury his toughest fight a certain demographic here are claiming he is a liar.

 

So? Is that the main goal in life? To be famous?

 

For some it is. We are all motivated by different things.

 

There are Leaders and followers in Life, Famous is usually associated with success ,it clearly shows what category you are in.

 

Boxing is lucky to have him at this time.
