Boxers Most Impressive Wins Are Constantly Being Invalidated By Their Own Stupid Fans.

It amazes me how often fans shoot themselves in the foot when hyping their favorite fighter, I've mentioned this a few times on some other threads.

Ward is the number 2 P4P fighter in the world because he beat Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler, yet all I see is Ward's fans bend over backwards to bash and criticize both of them saying how they were overrated hypejobs, because after all look how easily they were schooled by Ward, this is a very problematic act for someone who in theory should be concerned with their favorite fighter's legacy, because by criticizing them it devalues Ward 2 greatest accomplishments.

By taking Froch, Kessler and even Abraham out of the equation because they were "overrated bums", what does that leave Ward with, Bika, a badly drained Dawson, and a washed up Miranda. Not HoF material there is it? So I guess that means Ward isn't that great.... right?

Matthysse is now being painted as a complete loser according to Garcia fans, they want to gloat and tell all of Lucas' fanboys they were stupid for backing him and he wasn't that good to start with.. then doesn't that add to Danny's detractors argument that Swift's resume is built on has beens and bums? Matthysse if overrated, that devalues Garcia's win over him, which also happens to be his signature win. So I guess that would mean Garcia is not that impressive after all.

Floyd fans love to throw off on Canelo now that Floyd beat him with the greatest of ease, they call him a hypejob, and they argue that Lara should have won in their match and was robbed. But Canelo by beating Lara, in theory shouldn't that show just how good Mayweather is, Lara the divisions boogieman, just ran the whole fight scared to take a punch, whereas Floyd stood in the middle of the ring fearless and relaxed out boxed Alvarez and made him look like the inexperienced kid he is. Shouldn't most of Floyd's fans be in favor of the Canelo-Lara decision, it only go to show how good Mayweater really is, but if Canelo now sucks because he was beaten by "TBE", Floyd's win over him means nothing.

Rigondeaux defeated P4P Donaire, now everyone thinks Donaire is an overrated loser who should retire, who was never worth anything to begin with, well then that kind of serves the argument that Rigo's victory isn't that good and he shouldn't be on any P4P lists. Personally I do think Donaire was overrated.

GGG fans obsessively build him up by saying what a scary monster he is, which no doubt, he is, but the relative ease in which he dispatches most of his opponents, is a testament to how good he truly is. But many his fans have invalidated his best wins by making light of everyone who's faced him up to this point beforehand by saying everyone who steps in the ring with him stand zero chance. If his opponents are losers predestined to fail why should anyone be impressed by the wins. Stop shooting GGG in the foot dammit.

Its logical for Manny fans to bash and tear down Floyd's victories and vice versa, that serves a purpose and furthers their argument or shall we say propaganda, but when fans bash the conquered opponents of their favorites its incredibly illogical, quite frankly bizarre and very self defeating. What's wrong with you?

 

Believe it or not I've argued with a few posters about this, that's partially what inspired the thread, many people on here downplay Froch and Kessler and are nuts for doing so.:nut

 

Kind of like everybody throwing off on Maidana before the Mayweather fight, and then acting like he'd beat every WW in the division afterward, because he did better than people thought he would. Yeah that irritates me as well.
