Dillian Whyte Joshua Parker Carlos Takam Wladimir Klitshcko Dominic Breazale and with a fair wind, Molina, Cornish and Martin would give him a fight. Whenever i see folk trying to claim the Alabama coward has a better resume then i just have to scratch my head. £15m is about £10m more than he deserves, the guy is a delusional coward who needs to make hay when the sun is shining because his time is already slipping away.
Boxers with a solid chance to beat prime Ortiz: Wlad Boxers who would have a competitive fight with Ortiz but i think prime Ortiz would beat them all: Parker Takam Povetkin Breazeale (i am not so sure about that tbh) Whyte The rest would be KTFO within 3-4 rounds.
Wlad's the only one I would 100% think would beat Ortiz. Ortiz has a punchers chance to land the counter but it would be like Wlad/Haye only with a slower even less agile Haye. Wlad wins a wide UD. Parker probably has the best chance of the rest. He's mobile and we all saw how badly Ortiz dealt with movement when against Scott, it takes away a lot of his effectiveness and forces him to be the aggressor instead of sitting back and countering like he prefers. Parker could win a close decision and win it on work rate, though will look bad doing so, similar to the Ruiz fight. After that then maybe guys like Whyte, Takam and Breazeale have a shot as Ortiz has obvious flaws to exploit and other than beating Jennings hasn't done a thing to make him a big favourite but he'd still be favourite. Whyte would likely get countered, he's an aggressive boxer and with his chin I suspect Ortiz KO's him. Breazeale with his size, durability, pressure and power could prove to be a handful but eventually he eats too many counters and folds. But he has a punchers chance and if he can handle Ortiz's power for long enough he might make the old man gas, but it's a big if. Takam is durable and a decent counter puncher himself but I just think Ortiz is the better boxer and Takam doesn't throw enough to consistently out work Ortiz even if he can go the distance. Ortiz UD or late KO. After Joshua beats Povetkin that's another fighter I would say has a decent chance to beat Ortiz. Maybe he walks into a counter, his aggressive style suits Ortiz but Povetkin has a good chin, if he can keep the pressure on for long enough he could get to Ortiz. Pick'em fight for me.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Wlad beats him. Parker might beat him. Wait until AJ actually beats Povetkin before saying that. Breazeale, Whyte and Takam would all be violently KO'd. Quit huffing the AJ fairy dust, its making you loopy.
Jesus, yes... every time, he's got God on his side. Joseph.... got a decent chance. But Mary.... hmmmm, she's not made her debut yet
This. Wlad up to 2013 or before would beat Ortiz, but 2014 and after Wlad started really looking shot and would get knocked out by Ortiz. Everyone else on Joshua's resume gets smoked by Ortiz. Whyte - Makes too many mistakes and would eventually get cut down. Breazeale - He would be a 6'6" heavybag for Ortiz. Breazeale has no defense and almost no handspeed. Parker - If Parker got his weight under control and started coming in at around 225 he could most likely out hustle Ortiz to a decision win, but at 235+ Ortiz outboxes him and maybe even gets a stoppage, since Parker ran out of gas against Joshua in the last four rounds, which is pathetic for a guy as young as he is. Takam - Doesn't have any power to trouble Ortiz and is too predictable. Ortiz would stop him in the mid rounds. If Joshua wasn't so green he would've easily stopped Takam in 4-5 rounds.
Ortiz beats all of them except Wlad. Even beating Wlad is a possibility comparing their respective performances against Jennings. Ortiz is a level above Joshua's second tier wins like Parker and Whyte, he would light these guys up.
