Anything you know about Tyson Berbick Nunn Hopkins ect ect theres alot of boxers who went to prison so not going to try to name them all, I know about Tommy Morrison smacking some guy who was trying to make a name for himself by fighting Tommy but nothing else really.
I'd heard that when Tyson got to prison he started handing out free cigarettes. Then the dude that 'ran' the joint was forced into confronting him about the issue. I believe the result was another 1 punch KO win for Tyson
Cornell Nolan, out of Oakland, was 4-3 as a pro, fought Kenny Norton, went to prison in the 1960s. His brother being shot by prison guards during a fight on the yard led to a chain-reaction series of events and racial conflicts that left many dead. Edward Bunker references this in his autobiography "Education of A Felon."
Michael Nunn got into a brawl with the toughest dude in his prison. He jabbed, danced, and shoulder rolled his way to a close but clear decision.
qawi, a former stick up kid who gets sentanced to 5 years at rahway. a prison known for an extensive boxing program. in there was another prison fighter known as james 'the great' scott. they sparred and trained together. to which qawi's time was up and was released. meanwhile james scott got support from rahway prison and has proffesional matches while INSIDE the prison. still a convict. he has 2 fights as entertainment and distraction for the prison. due to a bit of media attention. eddie mustafa muhammad (gregory) fight inside and get beat by scott. richie kates a light heavyweight contender and title challenger. gets beat. and commonwealth heavyweight and then reigning british light-heavyweight bunny johnson. a solid if not mandatory challenger for either of the chamions and ranked number 1 by the wba...but due to hypocrisy but also a bit of sense, they didnt allow him to fight for the title. scott loses to martin a good fighter and contender who gets a title shot straight after beating scott. while scott has got far in his career. qawi has had a staggered start but slowly has accumulated a few good wins and a winning streak topped with a win over long time contender mike rossman. they meet. 2 fighters from the same education in the same hall they trained at. many of the prisons in pa got rid of their boxing programs back in the late 90s. The boxing gym that use to be in Johnstown pa (its now a different gym) bought a damn top of line full 22 foot heavy steel ring from Huntington state prison...it originally cost the program like 15,000 a few years before (it was the best ring you could buy) our gym got it for like 800 dollars. All heavy steel though, sucked too unload...the loading wasnt bad though..had a bunch of big convicts to help.
