Its laughable that they put Tarver in the pound for pound list. The problem with p4p status is that you cant just win it. Resume seems to be what matters more than skill level, or who win would in a H2h argument, which it originally was supposed to mean. im guilty myself of putting guys with names on the record, Taylor/Pavlik over guys with better skills, imo Guzman and Calderon are twice as skilled as either but dont have either in my top 10...:-( I think ill change my view on p4p status from now on and go by who i beleive is the most skilled and who would be the best in the h2h debates!
That's what I do already. But I do it 50/50. I also analyse resume for what it should be, not just name opponents. Taylor's resume is not impressive at all if analysed correctly. And then of course, Mijares' resume is quite decent.
Are these p4p at the time of the fights??? or is it p4p at one time or another ..because if its the latter..then this is horse****
agreed. but because it's 'mythical' it really depends on the education of the person making that judgement. it has to be at the time they fought a 'great' or it's valididity fades into nothing. sorry joe...
Garbage post. Just all the way around. Don't have time to point out all the trash. BUt yes ****ing **** thread.
