Are you basing this on perceived p4p fighter at the time of fighting them or their top 10 ranking at the time of fighting them?

JMM although wasnt rated top 10 p4p at the time Pac got the draw with him, was considered closer to prime or prime compared to his #3 p4p status now. So although hes climbed the p4p rankings, in most peoples eyes, he was better back then than he is now, does that count? For the record Morales on the 2nd fight I think just fell off the top 10 slightly after loosing to Raheem, MAB was also around 11-12th when he fought Pac 2nd time round. Ledwaba was top 10 p4p or borderline at the time Pac beat him.

Prime Eubank? lol. Prime Eubank-Calzaghe would have been alot closer. But he was possibly still borderline p4p at the time, and id give you Kessler.

I'm basing this on The Ring's year-end lists, which I linked.

P4P is subjective and should all be in fun and not so serious anyway.

However I think part of the blame in the perceived importance of P4P rankings lies in the sanctioning bodies and not knowing whom is a real or paper champ.
