This is one of the more intelligent conversations I've seen on here about MMA and boxing. It's nice. It's funny that you say that, because I was actually thinking earlier today about how GSP would fare had he gone into boxing. I think he would be be pretty technically solid, but would not have a granite chin.
Tbh I think Fedor does ok, but Lebedev seems to be holding back a lot in rd 1. Silva was unimpressive, he is one of the best stand up guys at 185lb too. I was reading the MMA guys commenting on JDS saying wow that guys an Olympic boxer, I was like yeah that's good but amatuer. Funnily enough I read JDS does boxing 7 days a week and trains other areas 3x a week. I believe Nick Diaz fought Andre Dirrell and scored a KD although I didn't see it.
His footwork against Koscheck was good IMO..... His lack of handspeed can be compensated by his good accuracy... If he was a 100% boxer, trainning boxing every day these things would evolve in him...
none of them are particurally good but thats to be expected. MMA fighters fight differently and it doesnt translate well into boxing / vice versa.
MMA sucks **** and is a homoerotic trendy bull**** sport with sloppy punches and gay long ass boring clinches and chokes. **** bald headed goofy looking douche Dana White and his ***** Joe Rogan.
Is not that simple.......If MMA fighters were primarily boxers they would box...... But they are primarly wrestlers, jiu-jitsu guys, and some few of them are kickboxers.... World Class Wrestlers and World Class jiu-jitsu guys.......extremely skilled in their thing.....they use this in MMA...they wouldn´t use nothing of this in Boxing...why box then ??
i saw that it was an utter schooling by henry kept moving and not letting diaz set his fight.condit might have saw it too :yep.anyone know the hw sparring jds.junior trying to be slick with his guard.
