Which boxers dont jump rope? I've never seen the following jump rope:

    David Tua
    Ricky Hatton
    Klitchko (either)
    Allot of other Europeans

Who else and do they have worse footwork/speed/coordination because of it?

Klitschko don't need to jump rope.

    They just have piggyback races!

I've watched James Toney train for years -- even when weight wasn't an issue -- and he never did anything but spar a million rounds (with any living creature) and hit a peanut bag the size of a thimble.

A lot of fighters favour Hop-scotch over skipping nowadays.

Jumping the rope is an overall body training and should make for feet coordination so that you fight well on your toes. The heavyweights can have some trouble jumping the rope for full clock periods in the gym but that doesn't tell much about their footwork cause they can always practise on the ring, sparring. I truly believe that jumping the rope should be done for longer periods and not on the basis of showing off ( with tricks and stuff) but to make your whole body strain, forearms, shoulders, twin muscles, ankles, but even so, there's no proper substitute for running - you should jump the rope in the gym but you oughta run as many miles as possible to test stamina, or else, you're done!

If you've never seen the europeans jump rope, is that because they don't jump rope or is it because you don't pay attention to waht they do as much as american fighters?
