I went to the Boxrec wiki to look, also, and apparently I don't know how to search it. This link is basically 'people in boxing who died,' be it from old age or whatever. Here's an incomplete list from Wikipedia.com - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_deaths_due_to_injuries_sustained_in_boxing
Technically, Benny Paret is the only one to be killed in the ring. Many have died from injuries, but that was in hospitals.
Me thinks Thor is correct. The iconic photo of him on the canvas, whist the sun shines down, eerie !!!
I realize that, but since he never broke out of a coma, he kind of had already been dead the whole time i'd say.
Well Johnny Owen, Duk-Koo Kim and Patrick Day to name a few all died in the ring then as all were carried out of the ring in a coma but all died some time later.
Here's an incredibly extensive list of boxing deaths, from the early bare-knuckle days up until about 10 years ago: https://ejmas.com/jcs/jcsart_svinth_b_0700_archive.htm
you're right. But technically all the most famous fighters who died, Frankie Cambell, Jimmy Doyle, Sam Baroudi, Davey Moore, Willie Classen, Johnny Owen, and Kim-none of them died in the ring. All hospital deaths, except for Davey Moore I believe.
